Spitting and Biting for Self Defense (Effective or Not?)

Get a free self defense video: ► https://www.codereddefense.com/newsletter Is spitting and biting effective for self defense? That’s a great question that we answered today. First off, spitting might be a little bit difficult to pull off in a life threatening situation since your mouth might come dry due to the adrenaline and fear. You might be able to pull it off against an opponent during an argument with someone, if it’s a something that you set up. If you really want to do it, you can use spiting as a distraction, to immediately capitalize on the opportunity and continue on with your strikes to finish the threat. In self defense, it’s important to always try to defuse a situation. However, if you feel that it’s not going to be working and your instincts tell you that you might be in danger, it means that it’s time to take action. Concerning biting, it can be useful to use in a street altercation. If you are stuck in a restrained or awkward position and that’s the only option that you’ve got, spiting might come in handy. You have to be cautious though when it comes to biting, because you don’t really know what disease the person might have. What can be used instead of biting is growling. By growling, you send a strong message to your attacker and it kinds of simulates a bite. The attacker will think that you’ve bit him and might let go of you. Cesar Reyes says:

biting is very effective, but unfair I only used it once after a guy tried to hit me with a stick, I ended up( I don't know how) bear hugging him from the back after all the moving around and then I bit him on the back…the pain the shock it put on the guy was enormous he verbally stated he gave up and he dropped the stick……..😉

Cesar Reyes says:

I'VE BEEN ASKING YOU HOW COME YOU DON'T BITE FOR THE LONGEST….FINALLY A SEE A VIDEO ON IT.

Cliff McKelvy says:

I think anything to represent to my opponent that I am "crazy fighting" will work.

Alexander Lazebnikov says:

Really? You're gonna risk a litany of blood borne decease (HIV, Hep B and C etc) just to avoid losing a fight? Listen to Bas Rutten – "Never escalate the level of violence in a fight you are loosing". If you are winning you don't even need to bite, unless you are some kind of psycho.

Thank you again! I'm forever greatful for your realistic self defense videos

For a couple of reasons I have difficulty actually going to a self-defense class, and I know that you can't just read and watch videos to learn to fight and you actually need to practice, but I still think watching videos helps atleast a little. It's all I can do right now and It's making me safer.

Many of the things you have said I have repeated and practiced in the air that it still feels internalized now, like fence, watching hands, if I knife comes out block and try to trap to body etc.

So again, thank you so much!

Art of street work out says:

But it's ok to bite, if your bite come fast and unpredictable. But if your bite process is took many time and struggle, don't do it. Because during process on biting, your vision for awareness is not doing when you try to bite your opponent

Bailey Wilson says:

When is boxing effective in self defence/ street fights ?

Art of street work out says:

Biting is risky for exposing your face to become punch. In situation of getting ambush from behind, never bite. Even if you consider kicking as risky to be throw. Biting is bad as bad as armbar in situation that you might get ambush from behind. My experience in school fight

Moustapha Baya says:
