Lot of uncouth comments about the defender. Wow! No matter what, he tried to do the right thing. Whatever mistakes he might have made, he's given us some lessons to learn.
The ending of this is the reason why I have been saying for decades the law needs to be changed, when a person steals a car they should be automatically considered armed and dangerous because that's a 5000 lb lethal weapon under their control….
