So, are you legally entitled to shoot someone because they used to have an object that you think may have hit you in the head? Seems to me that once the object was thrown, even if the object had been a weapon, the person who threw it is no longer armed with it.
The Video problem seems significant enough that there need to be some sort of standardization applied. Ie, list of video software certified to have minimal to no distortion.
Why doesn't someone just have a judge look at a computer screen under a magnifying glass so that it can be demonstrated that the result is not the same as digitally resizing an image.
The judge read juror numbers incorrectly yesterday and neither side caught her mistake. She sat different jurors than counsel agreed to. You should rewatch that section and you will see two jurors were seated that werenβt the numbers defense agreed to.
The 10 day rule must have exceptions if new information comes to light right Mr. Branca? Technological advances and in depth analysis of video formats, interpolation issues, conversion, artifacts, etc. might not have been available all those years ago, and the defense is raising the issue now with new information.
2:07 Interesting you say that. Wasn't that the same situation in the Edgecomb trial. Yet when he testified he said the gun just went off. And it worked. He didnt get the intentional homicide charge. Seems to be 'a gun firing on its own 'is becoming a real valid defense. π€
lol there are three extra 'law and crime' channels B – D.
I assume it is because one channel cannot stream multiple things at the same time. So when there are multiple things on the same day, they will start using the extra channels (B, C, etc).
Why would the state illicit testimony about texting his daughter? The defense will show that was untrue, and during jury selection the defense told the jury that all witnesses spoke before being interviewed as if they all coordinated their stories. Why would the state even ask them what he said as it relates to that specific line about texting his daughter, it seems to discredit their witnesses in my opinion.
@law of self defense In regards to enlarging text on a screen I suggest you research "true type". Basically It's a mathematical representation of text so that it can be upscaled or down scaled correctly regardless of the resolution. Computer file on youtube has several informative videos on this (from the pioneers and/or inventors of this tech). In regards to resolutions of TVs and modifying the pixels due to enlargement of video or "enhancements" that TVs natively do then asking questions on some PC enthusiast websites might be a good idea. There's a bunch that review monitors for professionals in the movie industry (for example) or photography/photoshop etc and generally they need pixel perfect monitors. A TV is not the right tool. A PC monitor maybe.

One last comment but Judge has the same hand motions as Hillary Clinton.
Wife is a LIAR and branca is a hypocrite.
Reasonable? No
Vectors can be scaled infinitely. Images cannot. Anyone who's done any photo editing (even on their phone) must realize this.
Branca- "why aren't other lawyers robots like me?"
Seriously, they're human. Get over yourself.
(edited): The nice thing is that being Florida – no masks, no plexiglass so far.
That daytona serial murder trial defendant is screwed. dna matching on all three women.

Great work again.

Look up 'bicubic interpolator'
It's a fairly simple mathematical concept. Anyone that has a bachelors degree in mathematics should understand it.
Fairly basic 'machine learning' technique. It is a well known algorithm. The defense lawyer is an idiot.
"We all know how computers work."
I don't think ya do.
It's beyond absurd that in 2022 they still get stuck on the question of how to enlarge a video for a big TV screen.
Why doesn't someone just have a judge look at a computer screen under a magnifying glass so that it can be demonstrated that the result is not the same as digitally resizing an image.
Last year there was a lot of coverage of a "Once Punch Homicide" in Tampa.
Remember how Richard's knew his jury pool

Commenting for Al Gore's rhythm

If a lawyer argues in court what is it called? Dicta is when a judge says it right? Is it the same when a lawyer says something that is mentioned.

I just love that nobody is wearing a face diaper. Life has it should be.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Andrew doesn't care for this judge.
