Only time my gun isn't on me is in the shower and in bed, no exceptions. I will admit however that I only carry an extra mag half of the time. Both times I've had to unholster was in my driveway. Different occasions but both times I was approached by guys with a bogus story that wanted to close the distance on me because they each had knives. Never gave them a chance. Thank you John because I truly believe your videos kept me safe because it was as if I could hear you in my head telling me what to do. Not kidding at all whatsoever
Any of you guys can recommend me a great holster that’s comfortable to carry and small enough to not let other people know that I’m carrying a weapon? I own a Glock 17.
At the 01:00 mark, you (John) ask, "do you carry a firearm?" I do 18/7/365.25 (Only 18 as compared to 24 because, although my firearm is near by, it's not actually ON me while I sleep or shower.) Even right now as I watch YouTube videos at home, my revolver in on me.
I am from Brazil, things are crazy here, those robbers have more rights than anyone and they are making their laws, if a police officer arrest them, they might get free in the next day, just because human rights.
In that area in Brazil every law-abiding citizen should carry a gun while they're walking to their car especially with these robbers like it shows statistically how many of these robbers have weapons on them imagine if you didn't have a gun on you you didn't invest into a gun and you have money to protect you and your family with all these animals in the streets many cases of good people getting murder by bad guy happy to see good guy winning
I think smart good people should carry 100% to bad in ohio for medical marijuana we might have to give up owning guns… but the gurilla always find a way to the warfare. Gurilla warfare
I would say no, I rarely if ever carry when I'm at home. That's then, I live in a safe city, in a pretty nice neighborhood, in an apartment complex with key code doors (or a leasing office during business hours) that you have to go through to get in, on a higher floor, with an apartment some distance from the elevator. And I don't have any enemies that I'm aware of. And even though I don't have a direct on my person, a firearm is less than 30 seconds away in a quick access safe.
So while I guess it is possible, in the cosmic sense, any scenario where I would need my fire on quicker than I can get it would have to be really contrived, and involve some kind of specific targeting by very hardened criminals. So I feel pretty safe with my choice. And of course, whenever I leave my apartment to go any further than to throw the trash out at the end of the hall ( say, down to the mail room or parking garage) I will at the very least slip a micro 9 in my pocket.
That said, if anything about my situation change, and especially if I lived in a single-family dwelling, then I would definitely reevaluate home carry
Even in gym shorts I've got my mouse gun to fight my way back to my bigger guns. It also goes in my bathrobe for when I'm in the shower.
How many rounds went through the neighbors wall?

They will be back, forever have to watch every time you come and go now. They will tell their friends who you won't recognize. Smh.
Here is a clear example of how handguns protect people – of course, that is why you will never hear about it on CNN or MSNBC.

This might be one of the few instances where I see a good argument for high-capacity
Great video, and great situational awareness by the defender in this one.
