Yeah I don't really think fitness boxing is any good for self defense. You actually need to have quite a lot of time sparring a real opponent for striking arts to be reliable at all in self defense. Never mind punching air for cardio. You'd probably be better off not doing this fitness self defense stuff because it will give you a false sense of security that you can handle yourself in a fight.
