Amazing how scared people are to kick a dog and assert their own dominance. Would rather put their arm in their mouth than defend their property and selves.
Going to disagree on "not keeping it on her person" when inside the house. You will step outside, something else on your mind, even if you keep a Fogger inside the door, when you are away from your door you are Out of Luck, this woman going back inside would have let the strange dog finish off her pet, just that quick.
This happened to my girlfriend walking our dog in our complex the dog ended up breaking one of her fingers that she needed surgery on. Currently suing the fuck out of the complex
My girlfriend and I were working from home and heard a commotion outside. Come to find out two pitbulls were attacking a small dog, all three on the loose. After throwing a few trash cans for shock and awe, which broke it up temporarily, I pulled my OC spray, which is something I have carried for years. Unfortunately it was not discharging properly, only getting a little out at a time. I was able to get some on one of the dogs, but it wasn't enough to significantly change the behavior. Ultimately we got the situation under control, but I will say that it's a good idea to replace your OC long before the expiration date. Personally I will be replacing it annually going forward. More importantly, the little dog was not significantly harmed, likely due to the speed that we reacted and kept the dogs distracted from causing additional damage. All dogs have been returned to their owners. We got the initial attack/chase on surveillance footage, but not anything significant. The majority took place off of our cameras.
Shocking that it's a pitbull again. Pitbulls are the most common perpetrators of attack, especially against other dogs. And OC spray is no guarantee that the dog will stop attacking.
