How does it feel to not be able to defend yourself from criminals? I read recently that 10-20% of a UK town's underage female population was raped and/or kidnapped and forced into sex slavery. The authorities ignored it.

they would have had a hard time stealing my car in that situation. I think I am the only person in the world who takes the keys from the ignition every time I leave the car. even when filling up at the gas station while standing right there.
