Welcome to the Martial Arts Journey YouTube channel!
My name is Rokas. I’m a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises.
Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton.
After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my YouTube channel called “Martial Arts Journey”.
Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries.

By now some of you have seen that episode 4 of USDC will be released on April 30th, instead of next Sunday. First of all I'm sorry for the longer wait time. Secondly, I wanted to explain why.
Some of you may be thinking that USDC is being edited and put together by a whole production team. The reality is that I am the only single person working on the series and editing it 🙂 I could try to hire others, but this is my baby and I have a clear vision for it and I am putting all the possible effort to make it as good as possible (while hired people may not take the extra mile).
Editing these three episodes so far has been an amazing journey, but it has also been a ton of work. I have been editing them for four weeks straight, every day morning to nighttime. I am planning to continue to do the same with the next 4 episodes, that my plan is to release weekly once episode 4 hits the screens. But I do need extra time for that, thus the delay 🙂
All that said, sorry again for the extra wait, but I will work my ass off to make it worth it!
PS: Episode 4 won't be a scored event, but instead a "special" event. So don't worry about the self-defense logic behind it 😀
So to sum it up, episode 1: A fighter has the advantage. Episode 2: A self defender and a fighter has the advantage. Episode 3: A parkour artist or hide and seek masters has the advantage. Episode 4: A person from ZombieGoBoom has the advantage.

Noooo, I honestly thought Mike, Ramsey, Rokas and Matt are gonna make it! Mike has so much experience and is rather small, so he could hide in smaller places… Ramsey, Rokas and Matt are quiet and observing, I thought they'll simply sneak out 😭

This was an unwinnable challenge, especially when they leave a dude outside guarding the only spot you can win.
Ramsey had it. Then he hurried his pace to get out. This is why hide and seek is the best kids game ever.

Anyone else excited for this zombie apocalypse deal? I'm not entirely sure if that's ep 4 but thats what my money's on!
