My name is Rokas. I’m a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises. Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton. After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my YouTube channel called “Martial Arts Journey”. Now I am slowly setting up plans to continue training MMA under quality guidance and getting ready for my next MMA fight as I further document and share my journey and discoveries. — If you want to support my journey, you can make a donation to my PayPal at [email protected] SUBSCRIBE to see when the next videos will come out: ► http://bit.ly/1KPZpv0 Check the video “Aikido vs MMA” which started this whole Martial Arts Journey: ► https://youtu.be/0KUXTC8g_pk If you want to support me and this channel on a regular basis check my Patreon page: ► https://www.patreon.com/rokasleo #usdc #martialarts #selfdefense

J C says:

If this gets a season two we need to start giving recommendations on who to show up next

Mark The Menace says:

The difference in all of them is what makes this so great. Their not all frank dux and Steven segal wanna be bad asses doing bullshido
Seth has learned many arts, and thus can plan for more scinerios than the rest, Though he can't plan as good
Ramsey is tactical, sometimes to a fault, he plans his way through based on experience
Rokus has no planning or anything, But he is a fantastic in the spot learner. Rockus has obtained one of the most powerful martial arts abilities, being able to absorb and learn at a very fast rate. Wich he applies to each situation to deal with it.
Jeff didn't need to plan, and honestly I don't think Jeff is the kinda guy to plan for a street fight. But he's just too well trained, and his in the moment reaction time and movements get him through any situation. And seeing all of them unravaled the same problem is wild

Mz Aa says:

I honestly didn't know what to expect from this series. I thought it could end up hokey or kind of lame. But this has exceeded my expectations in every possible way, Thank you for making this happen!

Marcos Freijeiro says:

Great content absolutely excellent

Ozkifov Xvypyvp says:

Alright, I had to freaking clap for Ramsey giving up the wallet, that's awesome in this situation.

Michael Unobe says:

One of the things I'm really loving about this series is the variety in contestant types. You have older younger and people in their primes, you have bigger and smaller guys, you have people with wildly varying training styles. Self defense is for everyone and seeing how they all handle the same situations is extremely enlightening.
Bravo for this series, Bravo.
Also Icy Mike's knife kick was 🤯🤌

Sesimie StreetFighter says:

Rokas! I've been watching your Journey for years now. Regardless of who says what I KNOW you can win. Why? Because you started your Journey like mines being attacked on the Street! This is must watch for me and my martial artist friends. Excellent! Intriguing! Really shows size differences and cardio vascular training is the biggest Factor. Yes you give your money to the knife weeder because you can make more and you only have one life!

gladiumcaeli says:

Seth's Sumo skills are shinny through in this episode.

Ricardo Carvalho Leite says:

This concept is genius, you truly can see what real people can do in this type of situations!!netflix should pay Roka

strikezrow says:

I have GREAT respect for the fighters that gave up the money in the knife situation. I would have given them all 2 points for being humble enough to not provoke the situation and work through it. The other guys did great, but in a real scenario, if you can de-escalate, you're gonna save yourself some stab wounds, and it might save your life. It's not worth the money to fight back.

Also, great job to Mike. He's DEFINITELY OUT HIS WEIGHT CLASS and still held his own.
