Front kick? Or is it not deffensisable?

@user-th2em9lp2v says:

Love both of you.
So.
Are you daft?
How can you say a side kick is easier than a roundhouse?
There is more involved in chambering plus placement of the foot on the way down after the kick.
Ok, using it to step off and flee makes it an easier move. But it's a different move. Closer to a back kick (don't gete started).
Just saying…

@wotanubis_57278 says:

I think Seth should try different types of dancing and see if he can use any of the footwork he learns.

@gundio357 says:

I love when you & Icy Mike do collabs…the bromance is palpable. Keep up the great work 👍👍

@DSC71789 says:

Hahaha, Asura Senku. Messatsu!

@robertconrad8005 says:

Seth seems like he has never been in a street fight. A street fight isn't suppose to be fair.

@murphylhunn says:

Im a big fan of the classic chael "i cant let you get close"

@ibaialkezar4180 says:

Kinda agree with keth on the eye poke thing. Most fighters are capable of mantaining the eyes open when people hits them, but the reaction of non-trained people is to close the eyes

@afujol says:

you need to shave that justin timberlake off my man

@alexanderren1097 says:

4:43 Way to use your head Mike!

@jingsndthings says:

4:20 Chael Sonnen

@schwindsichtigaderechte5293 says:

For bigger people, front kick. Easy to do, fast, reaches them before their hands reach you, creates distance and with enough power, can fold someone in two. For everyone else, eye jab. Quick, easy and a hit will stun any attacker.

@ElDrHouse2010 says:

The best fight stance before a street fight is palms out in long guard because it looks meek, like you dont want any trouble but you can get the hands up in time to protect your head and jaw very easily.

@GOBRAGH2 says:

What about the knife hand vs the power cube? Try palm up and down.
What kind of reading do you get on the power cube?

@julkip says:

This is a very interesting topic, although very tailored to your personal styles. I'd have chosen some different moves if it came to me having to initiate a fight on the streets.

@HappyOsotogari says:

It seems like you guys needed to have a clearer definition of what you're trying to accomplish with your move. It feel like there are 4 basic goals/expectations for a first move in self-defense: it might just be the first move in an ongoing fight, it might be an attempt to end the fight with 1 big shot, it could be setting up a disengage, or closing distance to grab & smother an opponent's attacks.

I like th push because it can make space to bail, or stifle a swing while I close to clinch. It also feels like a pretty mild/justifiable level of force. So that would probably be my move if I had to pick just 1.

@alexkehoepwj says:

If you're a better striker than your opponent, I actually really like the push. It might not end the conflict, but it takes away their element of surprise

@imptwins says:

ngl just kinda stopped watching when Mike mentioned he teaches cops

@tnktsinik says:

Sorry bois but as much as I love side kicks they are the hardest for the average person. the moment they lift their leg up and try to side push with their legs, they will fall on their ass 😀

@ronnieteulon says:

Eye poke is very effective and painful

@tye3ow says:

Situational awareness is the best technique
Hides from Mike

@TheWesterlyWarlock says:

As a Gojuka, I strongly agree with the results here as my go-tos would be a push or eye jab. I do love the three hours of testing tho for Iron Mike to say "just punch 'em!"

@MikesDadvice says:

my favorite is the eye poke, because it also works as a palm to the face and will buy you the most time before they can formulate an accurate attack.
