Dave, I would love to hear a follow up on this. Hear your thoughts after reading into the major policies out there. If you were to purchase, what would it be.
You have to remember, on this subject, Dave can afford legal representation if and when the time comes, the other 95% of us can't. Do what's best and biblically sound for you and your family
You think these criminals who do home invasion have families that can get an attorney to sue you pro bono? Do you think their slime ball relatives have the kind of cash, at least $15,000 minimum and that's just for starters, to retain an attorney? And how many attorneys would do this on contingency? If it's going to cost YOU $1,000,000.00, it is going to cost the attorney they hire $1,000,000.00 to bring the suit all the way to trial and beyond. You think they are going to do this if the hope of even winning is dim, and even if they do prevail, you are broke and they get nothing? Attorneys have to keep up those payments on the family, the mistress, the Lexus, the beach house, the mountain retreat and the family home, and all those fancy clothes and membership expenses…etc etc etc. And they can only garnish about to about 15% of your paycheck and no more than about $150.00 or so a month cap…You think an attorney is going to split those peanuts with the plaintiff even if they do win? And if you DO have a $1,000,000.00 policy limit, the plaintiff's attorney may just go ahead on contingency hoping to get a settlement from the insurance company, or maybe even the brass ring, a win in court.

And California and New York are two places are definitely need to carry a concealed firearm.

Be cheaper to buy a bodyguard. The liability of killing someone and violence is all on them.
