will you do a vid on tactics with a shotgun vs carbine? I hope.

ten22crew says:

did not know an 8 and 4 guage even exsisted

etihWeisoJ says:

This is pretty interesting. I had to watch it twice. I didn’t know all
this stuff. It’s cool when you do these educational vids, although I also
enjoy your more conversational monologues. thanks

mad555max says:

and another reason it’s hollowed out is so the back portion of the slug
expands against the barrel easier
result of that is that the rifleling on the slug can do a better job

Afro Prepper says:

Look at a Golden Saber 45 acp hit ballistics gel in SLOW MO. You an clearly
see the spiral watch?v=Fe6hEcdki_8 Then look at a foster slug hitting
ballistics gel in SLOW MO. It is CLEARLY not spinning. It simply impacts.

HiddenVeniaStudios says:

interesting thought. got any proof / evidence to back this up? not saying
this is false but I would be far more willing to believe this with some
kind of evidence.

Josh Myers says:

If you can only have 1 gun, you need a 12 gauge. I don’t think anyone
masters most other firearms without getting good with a shotgun. 12 gauge
is the only thing rednecks can afford to shoot with and it does every job.

Afro Prepper says:

Slugs do no spin – EVER – rifling reducing friction and FOULING. There is
not enough friction to make any round SPIN down a SMOOTH BORE barrel.
Everything else state is accurate.

Fred 1862 says:

When is part 3 coming?

jackhaugh says:

Dude, I have to disagree with you about the statement you made saying that
10g is cost prohibitive. If you’re in a market where a lot of waterfowl
hunting goes on 10g steel shot shells are common and aren’t more expensive
than a steel shot 12g 3.5″ shell and are certainly cheaper than an
equivalent 12g 3.5″ alloy shell. I do agree that 8 and 4 gauge would be
cost prohibitive, mainly because they are not legal sporting arms in the US
and no one uses them.

ZombieTex1 says:

My baby brother called me last week asking about guns. He wanted to get an
AR and a Glock 19 for home defense. I told him the AR is going to be WAY
too expensive to buy right now, and even if he could buy it, he wouldn’t
find ammo for it. Same goes for the 9mm ammo. So today I went down and
bought him a Pardner as a birthday gift. He’ll hit the range this weekend,
but it looks like a great gun. I believe I paid $227 for it.

Mountain Storm says:

Heck yeah it will. I sure wouldn’t want a load in my hide at any distance.

Dilettant11X says:

Great vid! Thanks, Brother. Oh, & thatnks for the Christmas present idea!

MAINEPREPPER says:

Thanks

ken18328 says:

thanks MP, I always learn from you. Christmas present….. love it!!

BonnieBlue2A says:

For open field combat what do you have against slugs? Just curious, thanks.

MAINEPREPPER says:

I hear you on that.

MAINEPREPPER says:

It’s a good shotgun. I think it comes with a rifle and a pistol stock. Try
them both; I got rid of the pistol stock. I will cover the myth that you
have to have the pistol stock (not pistol/rifle combo) for home defense
because it’s too big and long to use in your home.

crabblike says:

Earlier on he pointed out the 12, 20, and 410 were the most common, with
the others being cost-prohibitive. 12ga is the best, unless you can’t
handle it, then go for the 20 or 410. Make sure you find a friend who has
one or rent one at a range and try it first. Don’t waste your money buying
something you can’t practice with.

humantiger72 says:

Ha Ha you are so sensitive and knowledgeable about subtleties of
relationships and exchanging gifts…of Shotguns! 🙂

MAINEPREPPER says:

My pleasure; thank you!

MAINEPREPPER says:

Excellent advice!

stevie smith says:

MAINEPREPPER : What is your view on semi-auto shot guns ?

Big Dan's Ramblings says:

Just wanted to let you know that I’m getting a ton out of your videos.
Please keep up the great work!

CanadianLinc says:

Ref: MrExcellent99; I too wish we could get Saiga’s up here but ironically
Canada has less restrictive shotgun laws then the US in regards to barrel
length. There is no restriction on barrel length up here for manually
operated shotguns as long as the overall length of the gun is 26 inches
(short barrel must be factory made) and these would be classified as
“non-restricted” as all. I might suggest the Norinco HP9 with its 14 inch
barrel/35 inch length which holds 4+1 shells, nice HD shotgun!

MAINEPREPPER says:

I like my SAIGA but it has some limitations, it’s a lot more cumbersome a
weapon than my pump shotguns and it definitely takes some adjustments to
understand how to set up your gas tube regulator. People who have taken the
time to make the adjustments for this to the ammo type they shoot report
great performance. It takes training to use it properly but the firepower
it generates makes it well worth the effort.

KandaPanda says:

good to know, thanks a ton!! i was under the impression that the mag
extensions were a waste of money…

Cabanas751Dunhill says:

What’s appropo for her anniversary?

ec219wtf says:

Informative vid…How do you feel about buck and ball ammo…e.g.
winchester pdx

joshhofstad1 says:

I think a video based on just sabots and special 12 gauge shells would be
really cool.

onebigkahuna69 says:

I’m looking at the maverick 88 what do ou think of that one.?

MAINEPREPPER says:

Thank you so much for the kind words; as to the party, that would be quite
interesting considering I may be here at the hospital through Christmas.
LOL! 🙂

NWIPrepper19113 says:

Thank you for the lesson. I appreciate it.
