Modern TASER weapons are not the same as handheld stun guns. Stun guns are a terrible choice for personal defense. Watch Complete Episodes of Student of the …

Squiggly Lines says:

What about those stun guns with insanely high voltage? Do they have an
effect different than the one on the video or just as useless?

Anon ymous says:

Can somebody explain to me why the TASER is “involuntary”, while the stun
gun is “pain compliance”? The way I figured, both introduce a strong
electric current into your body, so both should cause involuntary actions
by disrupting your nervous system. Why is it that the TASER has a different
effect? Is it because the electrodes are farther apart?

Judge Rusty Johnston says:

Another alternative for non-gun people (check your state and local laws) is
the “Pepper Ball Gun” The one linked to is a .68 caliber pistol that is
powered by C02. It fires pepper balls filled with OC powder which is 10
times hotter that regular OC. Depending on your aim, you can easily him
somebody 50-75 feet away. Upon impact the ball ruptures and the OC powder
is released all over the attacker. Depending on how close you are when you
hit the attacker, the impact also stings the attacker. This gun holds 8
rounds so you have 8 shots to ward of a single attacker or 8 shots to ward
off multiple attackers. These pepper balls also made in .43 caliber and
will fit in any “paintball gun”. Once again, they may not stop an attack
like a firearm will, but if you are morally opposed to a firearm or live
where you can’t own one, don’t be defenseless. Plus you are not going to
kill anyone with one of these.

Haseeb2 says:

The average person will pass out from a choke in 8 – 10 seconds. The stun
gun’s maximum effectiveness can be anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds of
continuous contact.

Shelby Hughes says:

Communist cops are NOT constitutional. Police chiefs are appointed,
Sheriffs are constitutionally elected.

Haseeb2 says:

I think it is a rather dumb argument. What you said is just like saying
you shouldn’t use joint locks in self-defense because you have to be too
close. The more logical question should be, can someone choke you out
while a gun stun gun is being applied to their arm or hand? I think not.

Andres Rosero says:

I think he meant your autonomic nervous system

Judge Rusty Johnston says:

All these devices are interesting but if you are not going to carry a
handgun (or have one in your home) a stun gun or Taser is not the answer.
One of the newer generation pepper spray guns (I like the Mace Pepper Spay
Gun 15-20 foot range and 10-12 shots, Kimber Pepper Blaster, etc.) or carry
a expandable (31 inches) steel baton.
Police don’t like pepper spray because they are going to have to arrest who
they sprayed and it gets on them too.
I carry a Beretta M-9, but also a expandable steel baton in case I have to
deal with a dunk or a nut who does not pose an immediate risk of death or
serious physical physical injury to me.

Nick Kapp says:

There are some with a 15,000,000 volt rating, wouldn’t want to go up
against one of those.

TheWanggolf says:

so would you say having a stun gun is completely useless? ive been looking
into buying one for my girlfriend. though most videos where they show
demonstrations, they do prove to be not very effective. definitely inflicts
pain, but doesnt immobilize. but i cant help but think itd still provide
some sort of use if an attacker were to close in , the stun gun would at
least offer and arms length of distance when pulled out, which could help
with an escape. but not sure if this is the way to go.

KILLERKROW23 says:

Mace or pepper balls are way better then a stun gun…just get a gun…

ronazan87 says:

stun gun still a second best choice self-defense when a bad person managed
to grab you… and for a state that does not make taser legal and most
specially the price difference… not everybody can afford more than a
hundred, the price of those tasers are like the price of a real gun… you
can use paper spray or tear gas for a distance fight. yup no one’s scared
of a lesser volts type of stun gun but at least carry 10Millions and up…
very affordable price too.. you dont even need 3-5 seconds for it really.

Michel Clivio says:

Great video man

Boris Klaus says:

Hes holding an old school, less than 1,000,000 volt stun gun. Let me apply
my 15,000,000 volt mini bad-ass, and the little blue sparks will have him
crying like a girl.

Sisqo Hrybenko says:

Excellent video and I wish more women would watch it. Many women want a
stun gun for protection because they cannot bring themselves to use a gun.
I own both, but I bought the stun gun (Diablo flashlight type) in case I
need to use it on mean dogs and not for criminals.

Dennis Rafferty says:

Just my opinion with 30 years experience: Sure a 9mm (or any other weapon)
would end a confrontation … cost? $500 and maybe 15 years in lockup if
you lawyer couldn’t prove self-defense. TAZER: Cost $1000 and be sure he
wasn’t coming up to ask what time it was. STUN GUN: Less than $100, it
does even the odds. PEPPER SPRAY: $20 but be sure you can hit a moving
target and do NOT use it if he is already upon you, now you become
incapacitated as well. ALL these have advantages and disadvantages but
SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. Get self-defense training and have ONE of
these. Whichever you can afford is the question.

Cyanide Seven says:

ah typical trying to intimidate yeah may last 4 or 5 seconds but the very
second he gets shocked his muscles contract so he wont be doing anything
those 4 to 5 seconds besides cry in pain and have some mental confusion
before he drops paralyzed so yeah you can say the same with a knife a stun
gun would probobly be more effective…..

Bryan Stubblefield says:

i make my own rights

Thru da Keyhole says:

I have a 1 million volt stun gun. Just in case they get close to me(last
thing I use). I don’t show it cause I want them to be surprised when I make
contact with them. surprise makes the stun gun work better. But this is
good to know. Good video, guess I need a taser.

Joshua Pavao says:

Nothing beats a .45 with hollowpoints ;)

Douglas Prysi says:

for the real story and use of a stun gun.

PatsHat says:

FiryMY; Step one? like he states in the video; its a taser not a stun gun,
so there would be no shooting with the stun gun, it would be with a taser,
and if you hit your target there will be no need for your so called step
two… Step two? say you did miss.. there would be no need to go to a “stun
gun” when you can drive stun with the taser.. you may want to watch the
video over.

Ronald Velasco says:

What if there is 2 or more people attacking you ? Don’t you think a 20
million Volt Stun Gun will be more effective then ? With the teaser you
shoot one time but the other attackers go behind you and you are done.

LeeAnn Rickard says:

I am thinking about purchasing a taser for protection. I appreciate this
video, I have learned a lot from it. :)

Moiinc2013 says:

I mean stun tasers
