Loop hole in all legalities. YOU buy a black market gun. If someone breaks in, shoot them with it, put their fingerprints on it as well, then say they brought it and you took it from them so it'll automatically count as self defense
The dart launcher is not only a POS, it is a danger to everyone around. I have owned one. Ended up gutting it, and making a reliable weapon. Do not buy one. People that you don't intend to harm will get hurt, or worse.
Also, the hdp50 miniature is garbage.. the hdp50 and hdr50 can be modified with the many products offered around the world by less lethal enthusiasts, they sell them at 7.5 or 11 joules, many people can easily get them to 15-30 joules with a very small upgrade kit and it costs next to nothing. Getting a high powered air adapter can increase the power to a ridiculous amount. Just be careful what you do with that power. Don’t spend 1100 bucks when you could get the same result for 200
