Here's a suggestion: NEVER let someone get a headlock or control of your neck. Protect your neck at all costs. This basic hold in Judo (kesa gatame) can, unfortunately be turned into a dangerous neck crank. Very nearly got my neck broken in newaza this way. Have 4ever neck pain now. 😔. Suggest you try to frame or reset your 'guard' immediately. Use the Claw to get your forearm inside attacker's arm BEFORE he gets it around your neck.
