Suddenly I have aiexiety to immediately switch from hornady critical duty +p 147 to gold dot 147 now.

GlockFan1990 says:

For 9mm or .45 ACP any Speer Gold Dot or HST and for .223/5.56 Speer Gold Dot, Hornady TAP, or 77gr MK262 MOD 1 for me.

Will Siddle says:

gold dot or hst 124g or 147g for me.

smolkafilip says:

On the topic of hollow point restrictions, what round would you shoot in 9mm if hollow points were illegal where you live? A flat nose soft point? Flat nose FMJ? And what weight? With non-expanding rounds you really are more concerned with overpenetration than the opposite, so would that make you go for a very light round (even less than 115) then?

Neil Garner says:

Defense ammo is one thing I've never been consistent with! Over the years I've switched from brand to brand nor knowing what to use!gonna try some gold dots and federal HST this weekend! I've kept my HD gun loaded with sig 115 v-crown for the last 6 months.

Jake Szwaczkowski says:

Any thoughts on Underwood Xtreme Defender?

Neil Garner says:

I was attacked by a watermelon once! poked my cousin in the side and made him drop it! He threw it at me!

Lifter015 says:

where is your school located? It does not say on your website…

2571combat says:

They hate nutrition and are fruit racist.

fordrac1ng81 says:

What I've gleaned from years of reading case files and working as a civilian medic, when it comes to handgun rounds the sweet spot is an expanding bullet around 125gr at a velocity above 1300fps. This is why the 357 mag dominated until the 1980s and spawned the 357 sig. like you, I'm partial to the gold dot.

I think the biggest question is do you go all copper in the 21st century? With limited information on real shootings it's hard to extrapolate what it will actually do even though they seem to do well in barrier testing.

RK Harm24 says:

Aaron, great video. Before retirement I was our agency's Range officer and armorer. WE were carrying Sig P226 in 9mm back in 1992. 147gr Hydrashok was the FBI load so it was ours, per Admin. We had some cycling problems with failure to eject, failure to pick up fresh round and feed, failure to lock back. This was only on most females and limp wristing shooters. Moved to the Speer GDHP 124gr and these issues stopped. After 9 years of retirement I still use GDHP and Fed HST in 124 or 147 gr. Maybe boring, but it works without any gimmicks.

roger 5.56 says:

u said u have 9mm, 556, and 22LR .. wat about 12GA or 45acp?

roger 5.56 says:

aaron wat do u think about hornady ammunition in general?

TwoWheelNinja says:

Since I'm a boring civilian I choose Federal HST for 9mm and XM193 for 5.56. Affordable and reliable, that way I can train with what I carry.

7Revelations7 says:

Went with 124 Federal HST.. for my HK P30L ccw
