I do not think compliance would be a good option in this case. The gunman was acting very irrational with rapid pacing movements. I think he made the correct decision to go after him. He was just not able to control the distance, so he lost.
I read with interest all of your guidelines. I understand that you have woven a Christian perspective into your teachings which is certainly novel given the overall theme of protecting oneself. Having viewed your videos for quite some time I recall you formally saying that since we never know when sudden death may occur, one should be right with God. This has recently been changed from God to getting right with Jesus since we may be meeting Him sooner than expected. Perhaps carrying a Bible and on ones person along with a gun would be your answer to having all of the bases covered so to speak. After you've shot a perp, you can read a few passages from the good book and remind them that "The wages of sin is death ".
Actually, not everyone in your audience is Christian so meeting Jesus is not on the agenda for them. I personally don't expect to meet him when my life ends whether I follow the five D's plus one or not. If your channel is specifically for Christians, perhaps you should indicate this.
