Tyler L says:

Light near or on his face theres no way he could clearly see who they were. To bad the police reacted too soon based off a phone call from neighbor. Hopefully the neighbor gets charged.

FilipTheDev says:

The guy clearly was putting the gun down and surrender, I don't know the laws there so that's what I can say. They shouldn't have shot him, especially 3 times. But also I understand that their job is very dangerous and the guy that shit him was scared that he was gonna shoot his partner. Long story short they shouldn't have done that but also I understand that they were scared and rightly so.

German Garzon says:

Just another normal night in America…

Appalachian Exploration says:

Yeah the police screwed the pooch fucking hard on this one man

MrJag408 says:

His own fault! The police don’t need to risk their lives further than that.. he answered the door holding the gun. That’s dumb. Saw that it was the police. Then made an abrupt step forward. That’s Dumber.
It’s decision time for the cop once the DumDum steps towards him with such aggression.

The New Wild Wild West says:

Neighbor Set the cop up and the guy who got shot . Set them both up. No fault of anyone except the piece of trash that called police. She should be sued by everyone.

Snarky says:

Thanks, John. What I've learned from this:
1) Be a good neighbor. Bad things can happen when you piss people off.
2) If you're not sure it really is the police knocking at your door, call 911 to verify before opening the door. Bad people can gain entry by claiming to be the police.
3) Don't step outside your door with a gun in your hand. Defend your home from inside, where you'll hopefully be protected by a "castle doctrine."
4) Law enforcement has to be one of the toughest and most thankless jobs out there. My sympathies, and respect, for the people behind a badge who are intent on doing their job to the best of their abilities.

Krista Berck says:

This is just complete nonsense, john! It takes over .75 seconds to make the decision to not shoot, but I can shoot 6 rounds in that time? When you're rapid firing, does it take you an additional 6 rounds to stop shooting after making the decision to stop shooting? Of course it doesnt. You've always been afraid/unwilling to acknowledge when officers mess up. I swear, if this happened to you, you'd probably lay there apologizing while bleeding out. What is wrong with you? It is disgusting to see you try to justify this MURDER.

Timothy Adigwe says:

This pissed me off so badly

tiedami says:

I think they didn't give him enough time to comply. He started to and was shot in the process of kneeling.

Turab Bukharey says:

They killed another innocent man.

ilovehumvee says:

If he was black this would’ve been world breaking news!

Cruz Garcia says:

What happened with the person that call the police saying there were domestic violence?

MavHunter20XX says:

The cops should have interview the complainant. Ryan got swatted

ilovehumvee says:

Another reason to look out your window or peephole prior to opening for any reason! Must ID who’s knocking.

J H says:

Humans arent capable of making that decision in a split second??? 70% of your videos say otherwise. The man hit the ground and raised his hands in ~1.5 seconds, the officer shot him ~4.5 seconds later.
Police should be trained to respect people in their own home.
Imagine that you get a heavy knock on your door when youre in nothing but your pajama shorts, then open your door with your home defense behind your back because a heavy knock at night is completely unusual… Then get shot dead in front of your family within 5 seconds of opening the door..
This officer ahould be held accountable to an even greater degree than someone who isnt under oath who knocks on peoples door and murders them without saying "drop the weapon". THE LACK OF TRAINING THESE OFFICERS HAVE IS SICKENING.

Tim Herring says:

Hey John – I hope you have had an opportunity to review, reflect and reconsider your stance after reading the thousands of comments here. Like me, your subscribers are generally very supportive as we find you to be on point 99.9% of the time. At the start of the video, you asked us to be unbiased. After I watched this video multiple times, I have to ask if you were unbiased in your interpretation of the events.

Normally, I am on the same page with you. This time, we were not even in the same book.

Zarkow says:

Police training in the US is still shitty and strangely short compared to most other Western nations.

ilovehumvee says:

This is a great example as to why you should always conceal carry at home. You can keep your hand on the gun while it’s still inside your holster. He could’ve just raised his hands upon request and gun would’ve been inside his waistband and cops wouldn’t see it and nervously shot him. .

Winding Panther says:

Also, the cop blinded him with the flashlight so he could not even see he was dealing with cops. The cops are poorly trained , stressed, hyped up that everyone out there is trying to kill them and that they have to make split second decisions between life and dead. That is the mindset they have when they respond to calls. Day in day out . Give them proper training so they act instinctively instead of out of fear and give them enough rest.

Pugilist Enthusiast says:

What the caller did is a crime.

Multi Verse says:

Cops trigger happy and guy was just protecting his home. Cops should be fired and prank caller charged with something harsh.
