St. Catharines resident Ian Thomson used a gun to defend his home against arsonists. Then he was charged with weapons offenses. While Thomson was acquitted o…

Looks like Thompson started everything… 1 chicken came over to his
property and he shot it…. It was the guys pet/livestock regardless if it
crossed the boundary line to his property. He could of captured the chicken
and hand it over to the local municipality. So many ways he could have
dealt with things…instead he shot it! I’m no Liberal…or gun hater just
call it as I see it. he escalated things by the sounds of it.

Indonesian Tactical Channel says:

Just like metallica says, it is sad but true…..

MisledTrick says:

This news reporter is scared shitless at attempting to bring in thought
provoking questions. Christ, just say what you want to say man!

MisledTrick says:

I don’t think the guy you were replying to understood this as sarcasm.

MisledTrick says:

The fact is if he shot and killed and buried those fuckers, he would have 1
year of his life and $60,000 of his own money still with him. These laws
ENCOURAGE people to NOT call the police when attacked as the prosecutors
will always try and find a way to incriminate the victim. In their eyes,
you’re never the victim.

1LastMile . says:

Should be legal

DrInstant Defriends says:

POLICE want ALL the action in Canada’ that is all Even if victims die

alexvjc says:

If some goon tries to fire bomb my house I’ll put a bullet in his fucking
skull and smile getting a 15 year prison sentence.

Patrick Gartner says:

@about 8 minutes… “you should have access to your gun at all times…”
@about 20 seconds later “I didn’t say loaded…” Really? So, I should just
be able to walk into a gun owner house, and walk out with a fully loaded
weapon, with the most they should say is”It was stolen,” then shrug? I was
agreeing for the need for a shift in gun laws, seeing how he was
firebombed, then managed to go unlock his gun, load it, then respond. To
allow unrestricted access to a firearm however…

studentofsmith says:

Actually he’s saying that when you are in the home you should not be
legally required to have your firearm under lock and key. Presumably you
would still be required to lock up your guns when you are not at home.

JewsDeceiveUs ResistNewWorldOrder says:

That comment makes no damn sense. You happy there isn’t lots of guns in
canada yet you support lots of guns in America. You are a disgrace to
Canada. Fact is an armed society is a safer more peaceful society. Look at
SWITZERLAND. Do you even own a gun in Canada?

Indonesian Tactical Channel says:

Ian Thompson should shoot those punks that trow the molotov and tried to
kill him…..

studentofsmith says:

Statistics from the United States show an increase in accidental firearms
deaths in those states with less restrictive gun laws. Of course they also
show a decrease in the number of deaths due to violent crime which
overshadows this number. Many people like to speculate about what would
happen if people were just allowed to carry guns wherever they went but we
don’t have to speculate, we have empirical evidence of the results of such
policies.

Madore says:

I’m happy we dont have a lot of guns in canada, but if i lived in the us I
would have one and not give it up if the obama gov bans em.

D33Lux says:

Currently there are approximately 20 million unregistered guns in Canada
that makes 1 gun for every 2 people, I’d say that’s a lot of guns and
that’s a good thing that they’re in law abiding citizen’s hands as a form
or resistance against criminals.

JewsDeceiveUs ResistNewWorldOrder says:

When you aren’t home you should have your guns locked up. That’s common
sense which you clearly don’t have much of. Statistics Canada reported over
289,200 home invasions per year in the last five years. So you want people
who are home to still have their self defense guns in a safe that takes
5-10min to unlock when only seconds matter? Do you live in Canada? Educate
yourself or please keep your damn uneducated mouth shut.

JewsDeceiveUs ResistNewWorldOrder says:

Example : 2 gangster home invaders armed with machine guns break into your
home and start going room to room killing your family and your only home
defense is locked in the safe down stairs. What do you do? Fight them off
with a knife? Get your damn head out of your ass. You are a damn disgrace
to Canada.

Murray David says:

I, as most sport shooters, am strict as to gun safety. I keep my guns in a
vault. Ammunition in a seperate safe. I also have a minisafe upstairs; if I
have to go to the washroom and have been working with a gun, I lock it up
and take the key with me. At other times the key is locked up in a SEPERATE
minisafe. So… in a nutshell. If the firearm is not IN MY HAND UNDER MY
CONTROL it is locked up. And the key is either on me or in a seperate
minisafe. Ammuntition is locked up seperately.

hubert sdgherdsh says:

i dont like the idea of a gun in your vedroom with bullets even if not
loaded. I think it is very easy to see how a bad scenario would result from
that type of situation.
