Somebody in the comments said it was an abusive boyfriend knocking on the door, and the neighbor went down to check it out, another comment said that the guy knocking on the door died in the hospital🤷♀️ Another comment said that some local government made a law that gates had to be taken down around areas which is causing walk up crimes in those areas to escalate
I wont lie in this situation. taking off makes sense. literally run around truck. get a better draw. i know im talking post. but i think of this situation all the time. which is also why i dont hop out of cars until whoever im going to is already at the door ready to open it. car stays in drive as well the whole time.
I always call or text friends and family I'm on my way to their house. Usually won't get out of my car if they are not opening the door or gate. It looks this guy showed up unannounced to his buddies house to visit.This scenario is the one i worry about the most happening in the area I live.
I don't think he really mentioned it, but I didn't get the impression he was asking for keys. I feel like he was asking for money and anything else in his pockets. And with gun drawn, he was going to advance to empty his pockets for him. And the gun would have been discovered and he would have been disarmed. I believe that is why he made the choice he did. It was either that, or attempt a disarm of the perp once he closed his distance.
He did have a decent draw. But also, what if attacker said they were about to to kill you, as they draw… do you still not draw from the drop? I've watched a ton of your videos and know more times than not it's a bad decision, just asking.
The most important thing about winning a fight you choose to engage in is knowing if and when you have the major advantage. Fight with determination and not fear, and always fight dirty as if your opponent won't show you any mercy. That is how you can come out on top.
Wow, what a coincidence, I was just in Honduras yesterday (on a cruise). Looks like I made the right decision to not go any further than the port area 😅
The mistake the good guy made was not being aware of his surroundings. I am almost 70 and recently started EDC and in my CCW class we were taught to always be aware of where you are and who is around so you can deter a criminal or at least be the first on a draw.
The guy standing at the doorway is an abusive ex-boyfriend. A neighbor down the street heard him banging and yelling for a while and came down there. The neighbor knows of the situation, he's spoken with this man before.
There's no timer in a gun fight. There is time, but that doesn't mean there's a timer. There is no objective "go" signal, there's no "course of fire" and there is no objective end. How are you going to time that?

Isay this all the time. People say that a threat is only at 3-5 yards. I keep telling people that it may start there but open up quickly.
