Sharp kid, awareness is something you rarely see in this time period. Everyday i see people young & old walking with earphones & their faces buried in their phones unaware of what's happening around them..
Three beautiful girls " two of them were models in college " ages 30-22 , made all three of them sit down and watch a documentary of Ted Bundey the serial killer who preyed on young women with me . Showed them the FBI stat's that on any given day there are 4-5 Ted Bundey's operate in all 50 states. They are much wiser for it . My two oldest girls are married with children, I built both of them an AR Pistol and my wife bought them a gun safe at the same time. They practice regularly and are confident and capable young women . The youngest is still at home doing graduate studies.
She should have tried to get his license plate number as he drove off. Then the police could have found him. But she did a good job of avoiding him, and not being a easy target. Thank God that truck was there.

Her – whether exposed to examples of such lessons of attentiveness -which she then adhered to- or merely acting upon her instinct, she made herself the positive exemplar. Very smart young lady. Very measured reactions. Very desirable qualities for a survivor.
