obviously, like many others, his mind was the torture he could not escape. Do you think he was happy he lived through this? Do you think anyone is happy when someone forces them to continue living in torture? Mental torture has to be the worst and turning them into a zombie with drugs seems inhuman. Perhaps it should be each persons own choice.
If you want to hurt yourself, cut yourself, shoot yourself or take your own life that's YOUR decision, but when you cross that line and start attacking innocent people or hurting or killing other people in the crosshairs of your mental episode, that's when these people need to be taken out. Ok they subdue him, take him to treatment, put him on a host of drugs, then release them back into society like they're going to be sh&$ting sprinkles and rainbows for the rest of there lives. If someone is suicidal and decides to attempt suicide they need to be monitored for the rest of there lives it's like having diabetes or cancer, because you are a danger to those around you
Agreed with commentary. I admire the first officer's restraint and attempts at preventing an escalation. Very compassionate approach. But neither officer used his equipment properly. Pepper spraying him would have been helpful and appropriate and might have avoided the struggle. The officer deploying the Taser needed to back up a little to make sure he got the spread. A stun gun designed for close quarters use would have been helpful here. Would peroneal strikes with a baton have helped? Not sure, but that can cause more injury…

God bless nobody was hurt
Useless tasers
That na6let about got his fluff blown off.
Great police work 👏
LEEE ROYYYYY JENKINSSSSSS
if he ever gets out of jail he should invest in a belt.
the Leroy Jenkins reference❗️🏆
Stellar job, officers. definitely lessons here but still ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Man, mental health needs to be addressed before we send another dime to Ukraine
Worst excuse for officers I’ve ever seen what is this mess 😂 dude PUNCHED a PREGNANT woman and they STILL let him do all this? Smfh
Why are cops still using tasers and not pepper spray.?
Guys: We cannot get out of life consequences by suicide. There's a place hotter than this.
these cops did a good job
Knock his ass out already he's already a threat to himself and others
gun went off in the holster? Seems like shitty gear to me.
Its almost always BIG, strong looking guys who smack women, kids, or old folks around.
Taser taser
A lot of training is needed for these offers. Nearly countless things done wrong here.

Chances are a man saying I’m suicidal shoot me he isn’t actually suicidal. He just really sucks at acting
He was trying to give him a chance. More than enough empathy.
All the people in Utah are like that
Are they not allowed to punch or something? I've seen so many videos that can probably be solved with a nice strong punch 👊
Mike is absolutely right.

I feel like the hot sauce is better than a tazer these days.
