You don’t know why everyone left? Look at the establishment: bars in the window, video poker machines, etc… This is in the hood. Probably nobody wanted to stick around to have their ID’s ran.
Better to kill than be uncertain about your safety the entire time. 100% justified! Especially if you have loved ones or children in the room. Good for the guy!
Is it possible the robber started moving again after the good guy recovered his firearm? Or even twitch, the good guy in the heat of the moment shot again to stop the threat as he did not know if the robber had another weapon? The video is not the best quality.
Man in far right corner could of been hit with friendly fire from the gunman who chose to fire at that exact angle including excessive force, I wonder if the weapon was registered and did he have any training?
It’s sad that we are killing each other Maybe the Robber was trying to feed his family or just be a thug but I’ll tell you what the real enemy is not us. Always pray to Jesus before you leave your Home.

That shot to the bean is par for the course in the 3rd world…which Houston has become.
