I could be wrong, but watch the customer's hand when the perp enters. He instinctively reached to his waistline, I'm not sure he is not carrying. Might have just decided to not draw from the drop and then either not known how to take his turn or decided he didn't need to.

When he was back to back with male I would’ve taken his back ! Also I carry a weapon of some level knife& or pistol. Good either way but now he’s open to do it again !! No face ! This helps me train myself & family. Also if I’m with my buddy we both know what we will do / when w/o speaking. He carries as well.
When you’ve already committed armed robbery and 2 counts First-Degree Kidnapping plus unlawful imprisonments, what’s stealing a few smokes? In his criminal mind anyway. Needs to go away for life. ASAP. Or better yet, a nice encounter with a helpful LEO who will end his felonious days immediately on the public’s’ behalf, saving taxpayers a good deal in the process.
In California , you couldn’t get a gun permit if a posse of assassins chased you into a police station! Talking about being armed for self defense in this state other than in your home ,is worthless conversation.
I'm going to guess that most of the comments to follow will brag what they would have done. Compliance did work here. But for those people, do you know all possible outcomes? If you don't get the one shot kill then you've got bullets coming your way. What about the accomplice(s)?
Damn, they had many opportunities to disarm that coward. But I guess they feel it isn't really their stuff, mod as well allow him to take what he wants and leave since its not worth risking your life over someone else's belongings while the insurance company will cover what was taken. 🤷♂️

This robber could've been a hundred kinds of neutralized if even one of these victims had been allowed to rightfully defend themselves.
