Do you take any weapons with you when you go to the gym? Say you leave the gym late at night and several guys follow you before you can get to the gun in your vehicle? What would you use as the best choice?
I'm a little disappointed to see someone count out the chucks based on flailing movements from tv. As a weapon that provides momentum based speed with blunt force it's pretty viable against multiple people.
Before watching, my votes: if concealment isn't a problem, some kind of really long stick like a quarterstaff. Gives you tons of range and the ability to deny a large area, and funneling multiple attackers to prevent encirclement is critical. For a concealed weapon, a push dagger+boxing. Just circle away and jab with it, you'll deal potentially mortal wounds very early into the fight and provided you have the space and the footwork you can avoid getting entangled in a clinch.
Edit: if you're not trying to kill them, pepper spray or I suppose a pepper ball gun like the one you picked (I have no experience with the latter) are great too
Idk swords works pretty well tho ya need one he'll of a jacket for that lmao lucky for me I do but no realisticly get a bo staff there durable strong can be used against multiple attackers and legal to carry around like a walking stick or something
Hey I have been looking at monkey fists lately as a self defense option and I was wondering if y’all could make a video on it maybe compared to the fast strike
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, such as a aggravated protest rally of sorts, that escalated to those "protestors" pulling people out of their vehicles. As for the best self defense weapons for multiple attackers, I think this is where your earlier videos on improvised weaponry and using the environment would come into play the most.
As said in previous self defense videos, best option is the one in your hand when poop hits the fan. My personal go-to is my cane. Bad knees from the military can do that to you. I use the axe head cane from cold steel. It is sturdy enough to support my 280lb 6' self and robust enough that I use it on my punching bag for exercise and stress relief. It is ubiquitous enough that no one gives a second glance unless they are like minded and remark on the style and functionality of the cane itself. Keep up the great work.
You need a weapon that will neutralize one attacker immediately. You then have two to deal with. This gives you a much better chance and a psychological edge.
How about a knuckle duster, it's small so convenient, it has a level of intimidation and finally in your scenario with multiple attackers will strike as fast as you do with a force multiplying effect?. Unfortunately they are not allowed in the UK as they are classed as an offensive weapon over here along with just about everything else, you couldn't even carry a bat without a good reason as it would be classed as equipped.
Maybe a future video suggestion, same scenario but under UK law.
I'd absolutely go with the tactical whip [and buckler combo if possible] I keep a set in every major room of the house just in case these days. Easy control, low effort pain, hard to be stripped/divested…
I think I saw some antifa soy boy using one of those tactical whips a couple days ago

i carry saber pepper spray for the fact it can stream multiple attackers, and a karambit for close quarters

Best self defense weapon is a lofty spirit and a ready smile.

Jay was getting some serious Vietnam flashbacks when the pepper spray gun came out… 😂

You guys should test the Kimber Pepper Spray pistol
