I have always in my backpack ( where the strap for back support is the little pouch) a cable whip. It does not bother me in the slightest using the backpack, it´s easy accessable, and gives me some range if someone charging me. And let me tell you, you don´t want to be at the receiving end of it. It hurts like hell and you let the thing drop that you carry in your hand if i slap you with it and think about your life choices to this point ( tested it with less than half my power ). I also carry a flashlight and Animal defense gel ( the gel primarly because my dog got jumped twice out of nowhere ).
The whip is not very legal in my country, the other both yes, but i don´t care about consequences about the whip really, because my life is worth more than the fine,also it´s sold as a tool ( because it has a glassbreaker at one end ).
Kuboton’s are great as well for a keychain..also slashing knife attacks with a knife instead of penetrating stab wounds..stabbing can puncture internal organs where slashing will not

I gave my daughter personal self defense alarm. You pull the pin and it makes a god awful noise. When she turns 18 I’ll get her a pepper spray
