THIS WAS ME! This guy was tailgating a school bus and almost hit me trying to go around the school bus. I did nothing to provoke him in any way. This portion of the video is after multiple break checking etc. My only choice was to go left because there were other stopped cars in the right lane. I saw the state trooper but decided to hit the gas pedal instead. After this incident, I did drive to the police station. I had a licence plate and this video and wanted to make a police report, but they told me if no damage was done that they would not investigate.
I had a dude stop me like this I passed him and got out of dodge. He passed me back at over 100mph and jammed on the brakes again. I was only barely able to avoid hitting him. Slammed it in reverse as he got out and approached me. One I got enough room, I grabbed my AR out of the back seat and loaded it. He stopped half way never having seen my rifle and acted like he wanted to fight. He finally turned around and got back in his car and left. He almost died this day.
Couldn't it be justified here, once the guy comes out of his car to drive straight through him and his opened door? For 2 reasonable reasons imo: 1. He clearly puts your life in danger by forcing you to stop on the freeway, let alone what he's about to do to you. 2. You want to stay the closest possible to your own lane, because having to change lanes without much looking or thinking because of him also puts your life at risk? Thoughts?
You didn't talk about the most important thing pulling away and let the guy go. don't get to the point where he's going to stop I've seen these guys track you down and find out where you live they follow you to your work there is some Looney's out there. come on! let this guy go. The freeway is the easiest place to let him go I mean if he still following you don't get off any exits you normally do don't go home and don't go to your work. I'm telling you is some real lunatics out here in California.
I've definitely had this happen before just for honking at someone that cut me off after I watched him cut of roughly 5 cars before me. Guy was driving some stupid looking chameleon paint job Chrysler 300 and thought he was the king of the road. He stopped and got out in the middle of a 45mph zone and I just laughed at him as I drove around him.
I understand. I was almost run off the road deliberately by a Mack Truck while I was passing. He must have been crazy, 85 mph. If Another truck had Not beeped and slowed to let me over, I would be dead! Got license info, called PSP and was told unless I could identify the Driver, nothing could be done! The truck plates on these rigs go back to a PO box number and they have no way to ID any driver anywhere!
