As far as the security guard yes he couldn't have seen it coming because he was totally distracted. And I'm glad they didn't hurt him because I am an armed security officer as well but because I carry firearms so much I'm very very aware of what's going on around me. And I work at night in downtown St Louis.
Do to some circumstances.. just a mile at midnight I must walk from the hospital to home. It is always a calming nice walk home as I work in a ER… Im never alone and two nights ago i had a situation that i would like to share… As I walked my other route home I have two ways to go and I like to change it up, I saw up the side walk a group of 3 homeless men, I thought to be aware and I crossed the street way before I was close. As I did I went on my way, Two men crossed behind me one was still across the street, walking and matching my pace and all were now going the same northern direction as myself. I admit that my heart was pounding as I looked over my shoulder and saw the two men walking faster…So, I was able to out run them enough to pull my pistol and Yelled No! and something stupid I don’t really remember….I don’t curse well, I was so very scared of the next few moments, I was able to make them back away as I did as well as soon as had enough room I ran as fast as I could and made my evasion. I made a call to the police and reported what happened. I know that some of my thinking came from this channel. I was aware and sound I used all of what I thought I could before pulling my weapon. And I fully believe God was there. Thanks for all the effort I learned from it and its real. I do have a skill set in Krav Maga, honestly this was a first real situation and its scary fast and you must be ready. Thank you ASP
