Are You a Fair Judge in Self-Defense?

In self-defense, we must make judgments. But is our judgment always fair? Is it possible to fall prey to ego, anger, or prejudice? 🤔 YES, we should fight to protect the good, but we should also be the first to seek peace. If I’m having a bad day or making a bad decision, I hope you’ll offer me a little compassion and understanding. In the same way, if YOU’RE having a bad day or making a bad decision, it’s only fair that I offer you a little compassion and understanding. Hopefully, as we become better judges, we’ll know when to fight and when to forgive. Excellent insight. Some nights ago, I was at a crosswalk with my woman friend. A homeless man who had been yelling in the street came up on the other side of me somewhat close to her. I moved around to position myself between them to protect her. He saw my move, but instead of being hostile, he smiled and said hello in a sincerely friendly way. He didn't do anything threatening. We exchanged a few friendly words and parted peacefully. He had difficulties, but he wasn't an evil person. Be careful, but also open minded and open hearted.
