ARCS Self Defense and Combatives – Personal Protection
Go check out the free 7 Secrets of Self Defense and how to survive a violent attack. The ARCS Self Defense & Combatives System contains the most lethal and e…
Having been in martial arts for a long time I can tell you that just
because someone has a black belt does not mean that they can fight. It’s
one thing to train for sport fighting and something else to learn how to
defend yourself. In any type of combat situation having the right mindset
is absolutely critical to survival. It’s like carrying a concealed weapon
and being unwilling to use it, all you’ve done is created a bigger problem.
When it comes to self defense there are two things that are important,
doing anything to survive and knowing a few self defense techniques that
you can use when you are under stress.
You are correct in that in order to defend yourself you have to be able to
fight. Being able to fight comes from physical training and mindset. The 2
must coexist and work hand in hand.
Not actually advocating that you empty a magazine into a door either. It is
more a way to trying to verbalize that if you can not escape then you must
do whatever you have to do, and that it has to be done with enough violence
to unquestioningly overcome the threat.
Self Defense is a mindset. If you know to avoid an unlit area or know a
different route home you’re practicing self defense. Living is victory, and
when you need to survive you do what you have too. This all sounds very
familiar though not exactly on point. More right than wrong I’d say. Though
I’d never empty a magazine into a door. A black belt is a symbol in the
martial arts community. It doesn’t always mean you’re a warrior though.
I’ve worked with some scary people who never wore one.
I am plenty secure and never expected anyone to agree with everything I do.
What I’m not into is someone who is pushing a different sytem showing up on
our video feeds making statements like “but I can’t say the same for your
techniques that I’ve watched”. If you have a critique contact me and we can
discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have TONS of stuff I can improve
and that is why martial arts training can take a lifetime…it never ends.

Well when one resorts to name calling I tend to find they’re not looking
for a debate. BTW, the Chin Jab is not a fluid motion it’s a convulsive,
explosive movement. Anyway I was comparing and if you feel what you’re
teaching works well it’s not really an issue. You seemed fine with
complements from another martial artist. Perhaps I will send you an email.
Yes yes I’m sure you would, and that’s positive that you stand behind your
system. Isn’t posting videos promoting your system as well? I hate to break
this to you, but people disagreeing with you is what happens on the
Internet. I would figure you’d be secure enough to take criticism. I know I
am because that’s how people improve themselves. I see many good things,
but I also see things I don’t like. I’m not trying to start an argument and
you like what we teach. Hardly worth name calling.
well, ‘murica, but still nice video
lol that escelated quickly, from closing the door hard on his foot to
shooting him? lol
Haha! Nah….we are all nice guys here!
It might be slow, but you are making progress…so that is good!

Well once you commit to the use of force you must never lose. You’re all
in, because your life is on the line.
Oh it happens. A LOT unfortunately…just because they have a black belt
doesn’t mean that they can actually “fight”
Thanks!!!
Unless you are prepared mentally and physically it’s hard to do anything
but defending yourself is even more difficult. This guy is spot on!

Hey, you’re right. Nice to hear someone else talking about the right
