Also I titled this women as typically the size difference between a female vs. male encounter will almost always put a female at a disadvantage simply due to size difference. HOWEVER I truly hope my beautiful LBGQT+ community learn these as well, as it breaks my heart how many of you are put in this situation 😢🌈❤️ To the amazing men out there that would never seek to harm a woman, or another male: hope you learn these moves to protect yourself because we all need more of you in the world 🧡

Lindy Morin says:

My 14 year old daughter and I did a 8 week self defence jiu jitsu class last year. I recommend ever young women to take a self defence class. It gave us both so much confidence just to know we could at least stand a chance to escape an attack.

Keri Elaine says:

This was so needed! Thank you Keltie for this badass video, I learned two of these moves in stage combat, but the on-the-ground moves and the bear hug one, I have never seen before. This was so helpful and definitely needed as a woman since you never know what someone's intentions are where you are outside of your home.

lia morrison says:

Thankyou for this Keltie! If anyone has any further advice for us disabled pals please shout… most of these moves are doable for me when I’m feeling strong but occasionally with a walking stick I will feel really vulnerable 😞

Daria Sławkowska says:

Girl, you don’t wear just a bra to self defense class, you need clothes for most moves😂

Shellka Patlan says:

Thank you for this video 🙂

Meg Thrall says:

Thank you for posting this! Walking to my car after work has put me in a few scary situations, and this has inspired me to take a self defense course so that I can take my power back.

Catie K says:

Thank u for posting this keltie😊I cried thro the whole thing cuz my body remembers the trauma, unfortunately I have been attacked & raped & put in these choke holds to the point of unconsciousness and brought down to the floor n all that, wish I had taken classes like these in my younger years maybe that would of helped me in the past, if I ever have a daughter one day this will b mandatory in her growing up so I know that she has at least a fighting chance if ever in a terrible situations, no woman should ever hafto go through it😢 I think every woman should do this, or man, honestly anybody who feels like it would good to know & improve their safety:) I deff want to take this kind of class in the future so I can stop feeling scared all the time, the ptsd from this is terrible, I hope one day I can b brave enough to attend a class like this so hopefully in the future I can protect myself if I ever need to again😊👍🏻 thought it was a very cool video thank u😁😁 loving your bucket list!

Christine Lin says:

Brianne Hunt says:

Besides asserting your space, make eye contact and say something. People are less likely to attack if you have acknowledged them and seen them. They don't want to be identified in a line up. That's why they come from behind so much.
