Nick, not sure if Veggelis is training with you…but if he is, you might want to suggest to him that he bend his knees slightly when he stands. I notice his default is to stand with his knees locked and his pelvis slightly forward. This is OK when you're young but over time it's bad for the knees and low back. The knees are the shock absorbers of the body and when they're locked the lower back must do double duty and the back is not a very good shock absorber. Also, when the legs are locked they need to bend first in order to issue power. If the default is straight, the time it takes to bend them and then fire is wasted and someone who knows what they're doing can take advantage of that. But the health risks to the knees and the low back are the main reason to not hyper-extend the knees.

Nick's kicks are sound but his mate Vaggelis is showing some really dubious Thai sports push kicks… they are good right upto the point he grabs your leg.. then you are probably falling to the concrete. Kick low, kick fast.. train the balance.

Stomp kicks are great, if there's a chance you can even rake the edge of your shoe down their shin and stand on their foot reducing their mobility
