Fight SCIENCE says:

What trouble have your gut instincts saved you from?

Grant Imahara says:

Awareness
Boundaries
Pre-fight Ques
Instincts

These are the types of subjects you accel at.

[ TL;DR just skip to the last paragraph. ]

Your choice in the physicality, the mechanics, the moves and style to choose, when to creat space vs when to close the gap, basically your fight IQ… not so much. Your better than most on the street, but really nothing beats your audience going in and training and getting a well rounded game (stand up, clinch, takedown/defense, grappling) and training regularly but most won't. Your advice is better than most people will get talking among their own social circle, and they just aren't gonna go to the gym, so what your doing may be the best compromise. But just know that while in my not so humble opinion, your move choice, and how to perform it instruction is one of the less good ones available on YouTube… … your conflict avoidance, de-escalation, listen to your gut advice is the top of it's class… you articulate things like that so well it's almost unbelievable. Most of it I've inherently known my whole life, but never heard in in words, not even in my own internal monologue, so even though I understand it, and know it, it still feels revealing to hear it put into words.

In more concise terms:
While I might not be the biggest fan of your actual fight mechanics, I am a huge fan of how you put all the intangible context into blatant words.

Tentacles says:

About the places, yeah, I usually say I feel like I could cut the air with a knife because it's so dense and oppressive before violence erupts. About people, I train Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu and have an automated response so slightly raise my hand in direction to someone who is coming to close even with excuses like asking the time, etc. I usually do so openly smiling to avoid actually causing a hostile situation in case they are in a bad mood, intoxicated, etc.

daniel280456 says:

The guy in the elevator is a creep, but what was his crime ?

JohnDoe123 says:

Situation awareness is paramount.

LongBeachWerewolf says:

Whaaat in the actual hell is that man doing with that woman's hair in his mouth… I mean I've heard of people into feet or even piss or crap, but eating hair is more of a strange addiction rather than a sexual fetish. Maybe I'm just old school or something, but I'm still a nice chest nice bottom type dude…

MILWAUKEE WISCONSIN says:

I met this beautiful woman and took her out on a date a few days later. While eating sushi I felt something wasn’t right with her s I got up to use the restroom but I actually left. Come to find out SHE was HE OMG that was a close call 🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃

Bluebear Creative says:

Thanks for this…. and thanks for reminder that it is also the perpertrators of crime that are watching these for idea….

Very helpful. Thanks

Darnese Bell says:

I'm overly cautious I rarely after deal with my instincts anymore

Darnese Bell says:

I appreciate your discussions but some live action iterations real life footage would help people like imagery man what can I say

canarc1 says:

Your true “gut” instinct is never wrong. The only times in my life where l screwed up was not listing to it. Expect the unexpected, but never live in fear or distrust of everyone or everything.it takes many years of training to truly understand situational awareness, but staring with listing to your gut is the place to focus for those that don’t have the time in. To all the martial artists out there, you need to be a shepherd in this society. People are weaker and predators more prevalent. Find courage to protect the prey.

If anyone from a group asks you for the time, they are sizing you up for an attack, pure and simple.

The girl in the video is dumb.Having a spider on her hair is no reason to let a total stranger into your personal space on such manner!

Lucy McCartney says:

Welcome back 😍

Consciousness Lane says:

As a solo female traveller, my instinct saved me from many creeps approaching me and invading my personal space once they spott me as a foreigner, asking about directions or something very obvious like time.

Sbakh Abd says:

Islam is the truth way to get rid of the criminals
