1 vs 3 Street Self-Defence Analysis: "7 Golden Rules" – Lawrence Kenshin
Check out my new book on striking: www.StrikingTechniques.com
This analysis is intended for self-defence scenarios. Even highly trained individuals should try to avoid street fights all together. The outcomes are unpredictable and dangerous. If prevention is not possible, these are tips that will help. Remember that some people in this breakdown are even professional fighters.
I am a striking analyst that’s so far focused on breaking down combat sports. I’ve been fortunate enough to have major fight camps, legends, and elite martial artists give testimonials to my work – http://www.lawrencekenshin.com/testimonials/ If you’ve enjoyed this breakdown, be sure to check out my usual work in combat sports.

Never do high kicks, it’s high rewards but high risk against multiple attacker Only Counter, Good way of seeing where all the attackers are and pretty good reward Never follow attacker to the ground for pounding Yell out help in mean time
I used to work club security and one of first things I was told, similar to your rule #1 "Bro don't ever go to ground, cause someone will definitely kick u in the head"… Quite a few of the boys trained bjj too but they weren't trying to roll with anyone in the club haha..

Are they useless in real life situations to defend yourself against multiple attackers?

Great Tutorial! Lawrence, if you aren't already instructing, you should consider it. Your video was professional, and the instructions both clear and succinct. (And not ONE spelling mistake….and that is rare, let me tell you. Good job.)
I guess the rules are assorted from the most important and most basic to the very special ones, which are more hard to implement in the Street Self Defense.
I'm totally with you, that the most important things are, not to lose ballance, get right up away and prepare of sucker punches. Always stay moving and keep the attackers in line. That will give you a great chance!
These aren't trained professionals. What are you talking about?
This is why it's best to carry a gun. So if there is multiple attackers you can even the odds by just shooting them all for not playing fair.

That guy was a marine doe so he had training
As an ex-boxer, I'll agree with your analysis. Boxing skills are critical when faced with multiple attackers.
