Always keep a round chambered. That could have been his death nail. I am
glad he is okay and all turned out well.

Ash LiveFree says:

I hope his law suit is successful and plentiful. I dislike that there are
some individuals who would want to disarm the people.

My personal tips. 1.Always keep a round in the chamber. Racking the slide
is for the movies not real life application. 2. I don’t like CCW with
safeties. That is just an extra steps that you would have to take to fire
your weapon. If you don’t religiously practice with a safety on a CCW. A
person is bound to forget or not use the safety when it matters.
I like the term (KISS) keep it simple stupid. Simple and easy manipulation.

geez , good guys cant win,,we in a bad mess these days!

Koyote Tan says:

A-kreaking-men, Nazir! As a libertarian and constitution insistent
individual, your words hit home. Constitutional carry, especially, is the
only way that does not turn us into subjects, and respects our born
sovereign rights we did nothing to lose. Buying your rights back with a
permit is unconstitutional and turns you into a defendant proving himself
out of an assumption of guilt. It’s wrong.

Amen on everything you said.

Bradley Slackenfelch says:

There’s three great lessons here. Firstly, if you carry a semi-auto, ALWAYS
carry one in the pipe. Secondly, always, always have at least a second
handgun because invariably after a self defense shoot, your gun will be
confiscated as evidence at the scene and many times, never to be seen
again. Thirdly, if your state doesn’t currently employ “stand your ground”
laws that help insulate you from frivolous and ridiculous lawsuits stemming
from a justified and absolutely necessary self defense shoot that occurred
outside of the home, get to work on your state legislatures, congressmen,
and senators to get those laws enacted and then if you haven’t already,
join the NRA. Chances are if you live in a state that doesn’t have “stand
your ground” laws in one form or another, the NRA is working hard to get
them for you already and has been for some time but like anything else
worthwhile, it ain’t free.

Always carry condition 1, train, be aware of what’s going on around you.
Don’t be an action hero but don’t be a pussy either.

A well armed citizenry creates a very polite society…or something like
that.

Scary story I hope his hell is over soon and the spot life is off of him
soon. This man and his family/friends can get back to their life as it was.
