For the flashlight to use it as a weapon u should take off the glass for the front where the light comes on if u do it could burn u instead of also flashing u
Genuinely if i felt unsafe i would just bring water with me like a large water bottle because one i could leave it have unscrewed pour water all over them than hit them with it and run like a single use tool

The sound thing is for other people that they could help you (but you can scream probably louder) , the folding knife is just a tool for opening a packet or cut something small, not really a SD tool
Idk everyone knows the sound of those self defense alarms. If I heard one going off im going to see if someone needs help. Maybe its just males who dont recognize it because they never had their mom sit them down and teach them how to defend themselves from grown men on the street
