What Is The Best Gun For Self Defense For A Brand New Gun Owner?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Jqnaf0S8GY Following Hurricane Irma, some of my family members realized they needed the ability to defend themselves but had no idea what firearm would be best for them. Let’s see what they thought after trying a few out! WOW, I was just there Friday the 29th, I wish would have run into you, it's just 10 minutes from my house. I shoot at FrogBones at least twice a month with my adult kids. You're even in my favorite lane (they finally replaced the right paper clip my daughter shot off). They have a great restaurant next door, good food and great waitresses.

Off topic…but, as my go to YouTube gun guy….i demand you review the opsol mini shell for the moss500. Thanks lol

How about a Ruger 1022. Extended magazines and a couple of bricks of ammo and you will become pretty comfortable with it. Lower report in a enclosed area too. Becoming comfortable with handling a firearm then moving to a bigger caliberweapon might help them be more effective shooters. Reasonably priced and reliable.Great video and a great topic. Lots of great answers here.

Great video, I am thinking of getting my wife the LCR in 22LR because it is simple to use, lightweight, and low recoil. We went to bass pro shop in Branson Mo and looked at a few pistols and she liked the LCR. In my opinion if she likes it she will use it. I bought her a SCCY 9mm a while back but she had a hard time with racking the slide and recoil.

Awesome job this was great to see. Glad you liked FrogBones, been there a few times and knew it would be a great place to go. Having a place where first time buyers can try out a gun is invaluable. Worked years at a gun shop that didnt have a range and it was hard trying to steer people away from the light weight revolvers. They feel good holding them but firing them is a whole different world.
