This is a collection of my favorite clips of russian systema and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks to everyone who originally posted the videos that were used. Man…
In regards to many other styles it is relatively new to North America,
therefore it is hard to find a good qualified instructor. Kevin Secours
who was utilized in the last Splinter Cell video game for all of the
martial arts scenes has an online curriculum called combat professor. I’ve
certainly enjoyed the quality of the material available there,
unfortunately depending where you are if you really want a good live
teacher you may have to travel.
Make no mistake the style is effective; For those that have actually been
in a physical confrontation and aren’t just a keyboard tough guys or girls
the mistake of striking a skull with a closed fist understand the pain and
swelling that go along with doing it incorrectly while you are all jacked
up. I’ve boxed competitively for over 10 years and still have continued to
coach for an additional 6 along with studying other styles. The striking
and body movement is brilliant (no more swollen hands,) as with any style
it will come down to the time you put in and the quality of instruction
along with your willingness to learn.
+Aphrophis It’s not about the money. And this is something that goes way
deeper than what you see. But, to your naked eye, it may seem like a joke.
Try out a class… Then let us know what you think or… feel ;)
@recshooter nobody has an obligation to go around debunking fakes. On the
contrary. So, using your own request, any videos of Systema people fighting
anybody who’s anybody? We’ve seen Shotokan and a lot of other systems in
MMA. We’ve seen top Kyokushin people sparring top Sanda people. It doesn’t
matter who wins, but we get to see them try. Now where are Systema people
putting their skills to any kind of test outside of Systema? At all? Fake
is a fake is a fake.
I too thought that Systema looked like a joke. So I went and trained for 6
months in the art. I have to say ultimately it wasn’t for me, but this
system like all other martial arts, is effective with years of training.
Can people learn Systema quite quick? Coz I see fat people or really tiny
people do these amazing things with Systema, they learn quick? Kung Fu is
too slow– I don’t think I want to spend 10+ years to learn self defense
using Kung Fu. And even the Japanese praises Systema. (Sorry, I’m
completely new to Systema, so I’m just asking)
@ennot “How do you know Vasiliev and Ryabko are a real deal?” How do you
not know? “All you have to go on is their own words.” See answer #2
“Vasiliev, Ryabko, and others have an open door policy on challenges. They
are very easy to find….”
I’ve done judo and boxing for years, and have taught myself basic keysi
fighting method techniques. The only tricks you need are twist the wrist,
and shove the thumb knuckle into any area to cause excruciating pain. With
my homebrew system, I’ve won all fights for the past year or so. A jiu
jitsu master or jeet kun do master is the only single art fighter likely to
demolish anyone, in my opinion. Russian martial arts and fighting styles
are very effective though
Everything you do you do in a relaxed state when someone applies a force
you let it go through you and use their force against them , its mostly
physics. For example say you are in a headlock their force is pushing you
down so you follow it putting them off balance picking a control and
immobolising your opponent. Theres alot more to it , its pretty good.
@ennot “Since we can not fight people for real in MA, sport matches are
the only other alternative we have” Since SWAT teams can not shoot people
for real in training, paintball matches are the only other alternative they
have. To determine if you have a competent SWAT team you need to know who
they have defeated in competition. How is my statement inconsistent with
what you are telling me?
Martial arts are styles of combat……one style is not better too another,
it is all depends on the fighter, how good they are, and how well they
implement the style.
It doesn’t even look like they’re doing much of anything half the time, but
I can feel myself cringe at a few of those strikes. All in the leverage
used, I guess.
@CloudsBeyond Your reply is old but whatever. I’ve been doing systema for a
while, and I disagree with you completely. My trainer has fought, and
fairly easily taken down newcomers to systema with a background in MMA,
Kickboxing, Judo and many other martial arts. It’s clear to me that you
have no clue what you’re talking about.
they aim for pressure points i believe. feel on the left or right side of
your jaw. on the bottom right/left if you push it hurts allot, now imagine
getting punched there
@ashamsinej there’s a certain difference between having more or less of a
gut – like Sigal or even Oyama – and been just generally fat and totally
out of shape.
@kreutzfeld86 as your Krav Maga experience has probably shown you, an
effective – especially, military – system is first of all simple. You can’t
send your troops to a monastery to train for 20 years. If any system claims
to 1) be a military product and 2) run deep, it’s a very sound argument in
support of the “fake” theory in and of itself. And then you see some of the
prominent Systema people teaching no-contact knockouts…
yes and MMA schools around the world are slowly integrating principles and
having systema instructors as guests (such as kevin secours, vincent k, val
riazanov, and more). it takes time for the entertainment industry to catch
up with the innovations of the underground (that goes for art, music,
martial, etc.)
Fedor knew something about Systema. That’s enough? Other MMA fighters don’t
learn because The Systema require a lot of humility from practitioner, but
the most fighters have not.
true. Systems that use pressure points and use energy deflecting moves seem
to never be use in mma. If you can use it in demo then you should be able
to use it even when you are doing a sport or miltary. A rear naked choke
works in combat as well as in the ring. I am still skeptical about systema.
These techniques make no sense well over half of the moves would NEVER work
on the street especially against someone twice your size. People don’t
realize that stuff like 1:22 never happens, if a someone steps toward you
with two feet then A. there punch is going to be unbelievably slow and weak
and B. when hit like that instinctively your response is to brace yourself.
There are other examples as well 1:19 for example no one goes down by
grabbing there neck. No one. The list goes on and on.
@j2y8n2x no. Systema takes time like any other martial art. Ive only been
for a year, but i can takedown most people pretty easliy. The reason you
see “fat” people doing it is because, although they are “fat” systema turns
them into fighting machines. The point of systema is to turn average people
into military ready hand-hand specialist. My instructor looks alot like the
guy in the yellow shirt, or “fat”. He can do 200 pushups though and a two
minute situp, like 1 minute down, 1 minute up.
The spot they hit is ( in french plexus solaire or plexus coeliaque) many
nerves here. When hit you suffocate. It’s well now by boxers and fighters
to protect that area.

lol this video is hilarious, tell me people don’t actually pay money to
learn this??
This Systema dude along with the cold steel swords guy are the meanest fat
dudes on youtube.. ever..
who is gentleman @ 1:50??
it is a quick sysem to learn but takes some time to really maser the more
advanced techniques
This is AWESOME! Do they teach it here in the United States? I want to
learn this!

@ennot Ryabko says his system is a refinement of what was taught in the
military. It is based on it. He also added elements of older traditional
arts.

Who’s the guy at 2:14?
Because this systema crap doesn’t work against a trained MMA fighter.
Whats the difference between systema and combat sambo?
@ennot if u learn this and it works then u have your answer, u can never
know to much.
