Is a call to an attorney privileged while sitting in the back of a police car if you don't know you are being recorded? Isn't that akin to having your phone call "tapped"?
In Florida when a cop asks you, “Would you like some water?” and you answer that constitutes waiving your right to remain silent unless you re-assert that you’re not answering questions without your attorney present.
I enjoy your videos and always learn something. There is something I have never seen addressed. What if a COP lies to you and you know its a lie, how do you deal with that? To make a long story short, I gave the COP the number of the Police Chief (my foster brother) in the next city to verify the truth of a statement I made. I was a foster child, 19 years old at the time so the Chief and I had different last names. The Cop Left and came back a few minutes later and told me that the Police Chief had never heard of me. Obviously I knew he was lying but I was not sure how to proceed. I ended up getting arrested, but my first call was to my brother. After explaining the situation to him he called the Chief of the city I was in. About 15 minutes later I was released with an apology. Thank you in advance for possibly addressing this in a future video.
QUESTION: After a shooting incident and I call 911, and then call my attorney, if a bystander, witness, friend or police hears what I say over the phone to my attorney, can that be used in court against me?
Any good lawyer will tell their clients; "Never talk to the Police (don't even open your door when home to talk to police.. odds are if they had an arrest warrant they would not be knocking), if you do get arrested don't consent to anything, and the only thing you will say is,… I want my lawyer before any questioning, I will not speak without my lawyer speaking for me, and then STFU." This is how the police train the police when police arrest police… so you should do the same. The More You Know🌈
Question: I understand that a person's firearm will be retained by police after a self-defense shooting. Presuming it's a "good shoot" and the defender is not arrested, (or is arrested and bonds out of jail) is there anything preventing that person from carrying another of his/her firearms, perhaps even the very next day?
with all the bullshit that cops can do and prosecutors can do and lawsuit nonsense criminals can do, it’s so much better to just walk around unarmed in public and let criminals murder you.
Question: Extending the comment at 8:06 about the firearm being seized are they going to confiscate ONLY the firearm used or all the ones on the premises or is that unfortunately jurisdiction dependent? TLDR: Do I need to keep a hidden backup backup buried in the back yard in case they also seize the unused backup stored in the safe?
For those who “know Texas is Central Standard Time”…not if you’re in far West Texas, El Paso and Hudspeth counties are on Mountain Standard Time. Texas is a big State East to West! That said, I like that on the back of my Armed Attorneys Membership Card it says “READ THIS ALOUD”. For me that does a few things…First, keep my mouth shut, Second, the Officer I’m reading the card to knows that beyond any doubt I am invoking my 4th, 5th and 6th Amendment rights and do not consent to any searches or seizures and Third, and probably most important the Officer that is seeing me read my card to them knows that I am doing that under advice of counsel so they know I’m not being uncooperative and they can save the typical lines of “if you didn’t do anything wrong then why won’t you answer basic questions” or “you know this could be considered interfering with my investigation” or similar lines to intimidate me. Yes, the Police are allowed to lie to you to get you talking and Miranda doesn’t come into play until I am in custody and being questioned.

If you're found not guilty, I think whatever agency charged you with a crime should pay the bond fee.

We are the Militia, and when the Second Amendment was written (18th Century), "well regulated" meant "well trained and equipped," not controlled.

Question: When facing multiple attackers only one is armed. Would I be justified in shooting the unarmed attackers after shooting the armed attacker?
Is it better for someone else to call 911 first??

? I always believed 2 in the chest 1 in the head but after watching you for years I'm not so sure that that holds true anymore.
A founder here, what a great step by step guideline. I just hope we never meet outside of a social situation.

I've been told by a self-defense class that police will not allow your cell phone to disconnect to make call to lawyer. Is this true?
