Self-Defense is reserved for when someone lays hands on you first….only then can it returned without over-reacting it has to be equal or if someone is on your personal property with deadly intent….intent is the tricky part. In places like New Mexico, you can shoot someone that is on your property, remnants from the cattle stealing days. Never start nothin' but if someone lays hands on you, finish it fast.
The 2nd story happened in my neck of the woods. The old man deserves that jail time, 100%. He has no reason to shoot at the kid at ALL. Maybe doesnt deserve the full 10 years but he needs to be penalized in some way.
I'm from Houston TX, yes that's the jist of the story but what they fail to mention the kid was mentally Ill and you're 100% right just let the guy piss
I wouldn’t of got out either Death. I know live in Montgomery country MD and I’m from LA. You don’t approach strangers no matter what city you are in. Just because I live in a safer smaller city I don’t play Superman because like you said you don’t know anybody from a hole in the wall and what lithium they are taking. Shit can escalate in a New York minute!!!!
Experience tells me people don't just turn up at your parents residence acting violent unless you've provoked them by either thieving or bad mouthing them. Tell the truth bruh, what you do? I'll accept mistaken identity, but you said these guys had a rep, so you knew them, sounds like they knew you too. Pow, take that MF. Goes around, comes around.
Crazy thing how self defense is seen by the law, the dude who choked out the guy is 100% wrong in my opinion. And the other guys story is also dodge. I'm from south Africa and crimes insane here, yet we also have that "can't shoot or harm someone in the back" law, and it's ridiculous. Violent crime is so high here and the laws protect these guys so much. I love watching your channel! Would love to hear what one would do if his cell mate is a homosexual, obviously no offense to any one that chooses that lifestyle, but what happens if someone who isn't that way inclined, gets shoved in a cell with someone who is, and you don't want to associate with that for your own safety in prison. What do you do?

I guy I worked for shot a guy who robbed him at his house, and shot him as he was running away. He's doing 7 years now.
