Was It Self-Defense? Parking Spot Shooting Trial Begins
The manslaughter trial of a Florida man, who claims he was defending himself when he shot a man in a dispute over a parking space, began Wednesday in Pinellas County. Michael Drejka, 49, invoked the state’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law when he told authorities he fatally shot a man who had pushed him to the ground in the dispute. Markeis McGlockton, 29, had gone inside with his 5-year-old son to pick up food and drinks, according to sheriff’s deputies.
This is why they tell you to keep your hands to yourself, black guy deserved what he got and the other guy definitely overreacted. I don't feel bad for the black guy because he shouldn't have shoved, and the other guy should rot simply for trying to tell others what to do. Nothing but two idiots getting what they deserve.
Some issues you should create a fuss about like a women being abused by a man, but a parking spot when there were clearly multiple other spots open. Come on. Yeah it was not the best decision for the guy to push the older guy, but he wanted a fight and that is what he got. There was no visible danger to the older man after he was shoved to the ground, so the gun being pulled out was for other reasons then "self defense". GUILTY
he should be guilty because there was no reason to shoot at him did the other man threaten him no he just pushed him while the other man pulls out a pistol (remind you guys how many mass shooting there has been, people INNOCENT PEOPLE getting shoot for little things mistakes) BUT he should of never pulled the trigger especially because he had no weapons on him his SON was WATCHING HIM die his son is probably scared for life. And i thought adults were supposed to be the responsible ones. Our society really is just the worst.
That is not Stand Your Ground it was not a form of imminent death he was walking away the moment the gun was being pointed at him as a manner of de escalation of the situation.
When you raise you're gun, you should definitely warn the person your taking aim at. Especially if he or she is unarmed. I dont know all all the facts due to the video being so short but it looked like it drew his weapon and waited only seconds to fire. You got pushed, sure, but you had a gun and he didnt. It was a handicap parking space. This death shouldn't have happened.

He did not need to shoot.
The conviction is completely out of line. The shooter should be convicted of murder.
This honestly just makes me mad. He is also a wimp for taking a gun out against someone without one. He is a weak person

2) Keep your hands to yourself.
3) Admit your wrong and move on.
