Kidnapping is very common in some parts of the world, and even in the US it’s not unheard of! Having our Attitude, Skills, and Plan in place to use our car effectively in our self-defense plan is important no matter where we live. If you value what we do at ASP, would you consider becoming an ASP Patron Member to support the work it takes to make the narrated videos like this kidnapping? https://get-asp.com/patron gives the details. I guess no one told her that a Mercedes Benz E class can be a 4,000 bullet to a bad guy

marjamada says:

She blew her chance to run one of them over and escape pronto. Didn't lock her door… oops. Something like 70% of kidnappings in Mexico end in death, so she's fortunate to be alive.

Algoreithm says:

Why the fuck would you not lock the door anyways just a prank bro

informationwarfare says:

Ok, pretty simple. Run over freaks trying to kidnap you, and keep your car locked.

Ontwayne Hill says:

From experience with newer mercedes, they have a whole lot of driver nanny features. One of those features is a pedestrian safety braking– meaning the car will break for you if the radar senses an object in front of it. So she might have wanted to mash out but the radar detected multiple objects in very close proximity to the vehicle and (look at the width of the area the assailants were which is in the radar detection zone) the good old Benz cut the throttle off as to avoid collision. You can turn certain nanny features off but others you have to have the dealership do it or you best know how to hack.
