I’ve shot several thousand rounds through my Ruger SR22. The pistol is flawless and has never misfired or failed to cycle fully. And I don’t keep it very clean. Very quick and 10 rounds in a gallon jug at 1520 feet can be done easily and very quickly. Highly recommend it!!!
.22 kills more people than any other. So it can do the job for self defense and has the proof. I prefer the revolver. If there is a misfire, just pull the trigger again.

My Ruger Sr hiccups way more than it should… Really finicky about ammo type… some ammo works perfect, some just won’t cycle…

The sr 22 being a double action single action gun can be carried with the safety off. Plus it's safety doubles as a decocker.
