Top 3 Home Defense Tips for Protecting Your Family
In this video, I share 3 major home defense tips that everyone should know to protect themselves and their families. From holding a strongpoint to using lights strategically, these tips could make all the difference in a dangerous situation.
📹 Tips Covered:
• Tip #1: Do NOT clear your house unless absolutely necessary. Hold a strongpoint instead, and don’t chase intruders. It’s home defense, not home offense. (Link for a detailed video on why: https://youtube.com/shorts/i72szCuQ72U?feature=share)
• Tip #2: If you have kids or others who won’t be defending the home, make sure they know to stay in their rooms during a home invasion. Kids are curious, but running into a gunfight is the last thing you want.
• Tip #3: Always have a light with you and keep your home lights off during a home invasion. Backlight targets if possbile with exterior lights.

This might be dumb, but what if there is a remote controlled flashlight in one position and you turn it on from an opposite position, that way you can see them without giving away your position
Consider the time. As you're going for your weapon when you suspect a break in or attempt at one, ask "what time is it" because that tells you ALOT about the criminal. Thieves don't break into your house at night unless they're an amateur. It's idiotic when seen through the thieves eyes. A thief wants to minimize odds of being caught, one of which is not even knowing they're there. The best way of doing this is to try and steal during working hours. When you, your neighbors, and kids are gone at school or work. As a great extra from their perspective, it cuts out alot of situations in-which if caught, it minimizes odds of longer prison time. This is important to know because a thief isn't there for you but your property. If you leave your property, you're more likely to be safe because they aren't there for you. What you need to be worried about is if the invasion happens at night time. The kidnapper picked this time for a reason. It's the time you're most likely present, groggy, and vulnerable. In this scenario you must hunker down and ensure police are on their way (both scenarios are important of course but this one is most crucial) and know where you are. Running isn't a likely option because the kidnappers will likely chase you. Don't worry about your stuff in either scenario. Amateur thieves can be terrifying because they don't know what they're doing until they do it. Kidnappers are terrifying because you want to keep the consequences of failing only in your mind.
My defense is to live in a titanium cube. No doors no windows, got to parachute in, and anything overhead gets shot…oh shit. I forgot I was broke. My defense is a wooden bat…nvm
#1 is debatable in that framing of context. Chase them OUT OF THE HOUSE. Specially if you have people to protect inside. Chances are low assailants will stick around, but never ZERO
I love the cool and calm explanation. Tells me this man’s done this all before by way of thorough and extensive training. His autopilot “go n’ flow” is lethal, that I am sure of. Just muscle memory and focused aggression.
I'll stick w my home offense thank you very much
