Ives says:

Really interesting to see this move/technique in an actual street fight or similar violent self-defense encounter.

Billy Muhammad says:

Thank you master wong. This is a little bit hard to learn but I get the basics of it

Jonathan Kipp says:

That hammer fist 🤜🏼 line had me cracking up 😂! I loved the techniques involved! The movement flows well! Cheers! 🤙🏼🙅🏼‍♂️🙌🏻

Daryl Cummings says:

Thanks a lot definitely wanna learn more moves

Daryl Cummings says:

May I prefer to get a person off so I would definitely going with the punches and chops I would do a soft attack because I don’t wanna seriously hurt nobody just basically defend myself and get a person off me thanks those are some excellent self-defense kung fu techniques‘s

Daryl Cummings says:

I liked it second block and I love the way he’s turns it into a arm bar submission hold It would take practice but it looks pretty easy to execute first block the uppercut then grab the arm and push it forward

Daryl Cummings says:

uppercut block is a good move I would do differently is on my Block it with the palms with the hand Straight just so I didn’t have to bend my head down so I could see the other hand coming

Spam Mouse says:

Great lesson again MW thank you, what I do different? I like the blow to the jaw, but I would use the palm of my hand (or heal of open hand) why? Because if questioned by police afterwards I can say that I was PUSHING him away and not engaging in fighting, these days everything is filmed so one has to think about defence in court as well as defence on the street. Love the broken ankle move, way cool. 👍👍👍

Twobarpsi says:

Doctor Jon ❤✊🥋!!

Twobarpsi says:

Love you Master Wong!!

Shameer Ameerkhan says:

Hi the most dangerous poison is porn movies and our enemy is our lust.

brandon kaghee says:

Dr John's technique could work, if he were to stun the attacker first. Probably a strike under the bridge of the nose where the soft part is it will not only sting but also be disorienting. Then he can go for the trap movement with the proper angle and timing.

Call Me Loyal says:

I love your techniques and speed it reminds me of Ip Man 🥋👍

nikolas San says:

i love your videos!! very very good teqniques

Nhlanhla Masud says:

Master wong you are such an amazing teacher,by watching your videos you helped me to build up my confidence and self esteem.God bless you.

Amon Kanan says:

John approach in defending the hawk fist is beautiful by unpractical , his approach in defending the left and right fist attack is better than your approach a little in my opinion

Flora Farzaneh says:

Thank you Master 🙂

Silvio Veneziano says:

Dr. john's technique is not very realistic, it is very difficult to trap the attacker's arm like that. what you have shown is very effective to defend yourself on the street but it takes training and you have to practice. Thanks for the lessons Master🙏

Aloha 808 says:

Master Wong, I just noticed at around 2:35 on how to counter an uppercut, the Dr. is RIPE for an overhand left. Go slide by slide. His closed eyes and exposed face is an open invitation to a reflexive overhand left combination. It might work better if he pulls the aggressor off balance first, after the trap, away from the overhand left. Usually slipping may be faster than intercepting a quick and short(unless it's a looping bolo punch) uppercut. I guess every technique works at some time. Other than this instance, I enjoy your honesty and practicality. I am not a master of anything, but I've had some real life experience and intercepting a short and quick uppercut is a dangerous move. Just trying to keep it real. I apologize and do not mean to offend. Your style is real and you have my utmost respect. It's just, in this instance, there are too many moves and trapping has to be exact or you are exposed for a quick left, especially from a boxer type combination puncher. If I had the balls and could shoot my right arm over his right forearm and trapping his wrist with my left hand, I'd try to pull him down, off balance, by controlling his arm then turning and leaning away from him, pulling him to the ground, then immediately step/stomp/knee his head, while exposing his right forearm for a break or as a shield(hostage) against his friends. But really, I wouldn't look for an opening against a short uppercut. I'd look for a safer entry. Even a pro like the doctor, sometimes closes his eyes and exposes himself for a moment, because the move are so quick and dangerous. This an advanced move. Peace

Chris P says:

I so love the vids and the commentary Technically awesome .. and vital to not the opponent grab titty

Canard_Boiteux says:

another great video. Thanks master wong (and john !!! ). Your video with john are very interesting and complementary

Stephen Shapiro says:

ps. Knife hand chops are always great but don't neglect straight driving knife hand strikes to the collar bone, bridge of the nose, and / or between the eyes. Please only practice these on a bag or tree with padding. Cheers!

Stephen Shapiro says:

1. Yes an element of fun is essential. Our dojo had a sign 'Train seriously, but don't seriously train. We were raising full marital artists … not just fighting artists.
2. That mace strike to the jaw hinge is brutal. Ends matters straight away. A wire job for sure.
3. The arm folds performed by Dr John takes much more practice than meets the eye. Eventually, when a higher rank I learned 3 styles of arm folds without actually grabbing (inside fold, outside fold, and a hybrid while grubbing with 1 arm). Locks up the opponent is pain and unable to move, plus leaves your hands free. Best for the instructor to tutor you with these. Sign up with Master Wong for privates to polish these arm folding skills.
4. When performing combinations of flurry hits be fast BUT make each one Powerful.. You don't want to be like Olive Oyle hitting Brutus 100 times with no effect.
5. Thanks. Respects. Peace to all.

Amarien Copney says:

I love both the ideas to hit the jaw or the Collarbone this gives you many opportunity’s to strike your opponent in Multiple areas simultaneously👍🏿

Iam Shields says:

The shots that You Don't see coming, are the ones that hurt the most. Experience is the best teacher. Thank you master!!🧐
