Many of us, especially fire arms video producers, make too big of a deal out of trigger pool and trigger reset on self defense pistols. Here is my brief explanation as to why whatever pistol you can safely and effectively use is the best one.
When your adrenaline is going, the weight of gun, trigger pull, and reset are non factors. This is why I always SMH at guys who make it a issue when they don't even shoot competition.
Ain't that the truth ! Training , practice and familiarity with your firearm is what truly matters in defensive scenario! For competition sure for in the actual event of life or death , doesn't matter . In the service and law enforcement do think firearms have apex and or polished triggers . Nah !
Thank you sir!!! Have been getting really tired of all the trigger talk over the years. To me, the only time a trigger is that important is in competition and precision shooting. Other than that, all I'm concerned with is, can the operator make it go "bang" when it counts the most!
the only thing that matters to me is that the gun doesnt have a grip safety- or a magazine safety– you get into a fight for your life and they get ahold of you before you can clear your holster , or they get their hands on your sidearm while fighting- not being able to get a proper grip on the grip safety- or your mag gets dropped in the scramble over your gun will cost you your life…just my opinion, i'm sure not everyone will agree..
Well said, and on point. We talk about our guns to the point of micro-operations, and the smallest virtue CAN matter, but the most important part is the ability to protect your family. Getting to know the qualities of your firearm as well as your own limitations is key, and getting range time and learning how you and your firearm operate is huge.
Amen brother!

Excellent video. 100% true. Who cares about the trigger at 3 feet when being attacked
Sights mean little as well.
Spot on! Survival just kicks in. I have seen people do incredible things when their life or a friends/family life is in danger.
