Holy shit! A woman's self defense video that actually looks like it would work! Applicable to anybody, man or woman, all good techniques and principles to know. Agree with the comment about how she emphasies, "now you can run away" exactly, if you can use grappling to make the other person let go/free yourself, now you can run away!
Not trying to be disrespectful to either professor, but wouldn't an attacker trying to subdue a woman use both hands in his attack? One to capture and the other to strike?
Very very good video. I love how she explained how Bernardo is a strong guy and a woman who is untrained would not be able to defend. Also, each time she finished a technique she explained how it is important to run away. Very realistic approach to self defense for women. Great job you two.
The hair grab technique doesn't seem to really work. Bernardo didn't use any resistance and I think if he did, it would too painful for her with this technique.

That hair defense is bullshido. Try doing it when someone's dragging you by your hair, which is the only goal of actually grabbing the hair.
