Tai Chi Self Defence drill: Grasping the birds tail jamming and defence drill

The Wudang style of Tai Chi has 48 classical self defence drills, with each one designed to give you certain skills or abilities. The idea is to practice them regularly and vigorously, taking care to incorporate key tai chi concepts and principles. With a lot of regular practice of all the drills the practitioner should have plenty of answers that can be expressed naturally to self defence situations, should the need arise. Grasping the birds tail includes a fair few aspects in the traditional drill. In this video we have to practitioners working together, one is experienced and one is very new to training. In the traditional Wudang style of tai chi practitioners learn and practice the self defence drills to understand and gain skill in combat techniques. They practice internal strength to gain the right type of strength and body movements that make the application of the skills easier and more skilful.
