So this is what happens in Australia when they take all the guns away. The criminals find a weapon just as deadly and the victim has to defend himself with his bare hands.
I`d probably have grabbed for the hatchet with the leveraging arm, and smoked the shit out of him with the thickest bottle I can grab. Though that`s if I`m not willing to give him the money, which I don`t see myself choosing to fight over minimum wage.
John, On a few occasions you have mentioned the "national standard" of 2 seconds to first shot. I haven't heard that elsewhere – could you point me to a source? Thanks!
The perp obviously didn't really want to hurt anyone, just scare him into compliance. If he had really swung that hatchet things would have been very different. Still, good job by the clerk. Attitude is definitely important.
Any company that deprives it’s employees of it’s legal right to carry defensive tools should be held as complicit in any violence perpetuated against their employees. I wonder how many clerks have died who could carry but didn’t because they didn’t want to lose their job….
Should've given him the bottle. Right across the f***ing head. Then see him wake up with a hangover.
