In Virginia they're running radio commercials about people helping police officers in trouble. I don't know why they're doing it but I think it's a good idea. The problem is you need to train officers to recognize someone coming to help versus someone coming to hurt them. When I was a paramedic we had a patient on a stretcher with one armor restrained and the other arm loose and he was trying to hurt people. After watching two or three security guards wrestle with him I simply wrapped both my arms around his arm and dropped to the ground. What I saw and what I see most people is they really don't want to seriously hurt somebody while they're trying to restrain them. If you're in a dangerous situation you need to get over that instinct. One person's arm can fight your arms but it cannot fight the entire weight of your body coming down on it. People need to have an off switch that when their life is in danger you no longer care about hurting somebody to stop them. I don't know how they train that but maybe some martial arts training would help. As far as him not shooting this woman I think there's something in certain people that they are really good with body language and behavior and I think he may never say it but this officer will tell you that he didn't believe she was a threat to him. I know that's not the right way to think and that's definitely not the right way to train. But certain people have a certain maybe instinct and this looks like that's what it was. He gave her more than enough chances and anybody without that instinct or feel for people should have absolutely filled her in with as much lead as he could. We also have to say that this officer is very lucky. The boyfriend came back and could have opened fire much sooner. I think the officer caught it the last second and I think the boyfriend was trying to threaten the officer not intending to shoot him. Incredibly stupid to do and that's why he got a bullet in his face. But again this officer is very lucky that I boyfriend didn't open fire sooner. All in all I suspect there is something special in this officer's makeup. He doesn't react angry even though people are trying to kill him, he thinks to ask for help from a citizen and ends up not killing a woman that nine out of 10 officers would have shot. As for the civilian…. Honestly fuck you. I hope when you call 911 they never show up. If an officer ever asked for my help, even if I'm putting my life at risk I am helping that officer. That is part of being a citizen. And anyone who doesn't step in and do what they can deserves to lose the protection that citizens get from the police. That's just a coward.
Okay…. only playing devils advocate here… but i would definitely have major hesitation getting involved in a police matter, walking in armed (situation dependent). In the fog of war, the officer may deem you the threat. And there you are standing face with an adrenaline fueled killer. – A morally compelled citizen.
Dear God, John and Mike,!! I just read the interview with a woman arrested. “He barely even got the chance to get his gun out before he shot in the head.“ Are you freaking kidding me? “He could have shot him in the leg or the arm, just as easily.“??? You really cannot hide stupidity like hers. Not stupidity this stupid. And knowing there’s video out there, she goes with claiming she told him about the gun and wasn’t gonna do anything. She couldn’t even reach it? As we see this idiot, putting her hand all over it?. And best of all she tells the interviewer that she didn’t know the car was stolen until about a day before the incident! These freaking Mensa members drove around for another full day after realizing the car someone just gave to them as a gift was stolen? You could make this up but clearly why? The idiocy involved is staggering.
Donut did a really good break down on this btw
His situational awareness is on 300, he handled himself!
Cop out here looking like John Wick!
Ladies, your drug addict, trap house boyfriend is not worth your life. Find better companions.
Well Done Lady You Lost your Man???
These people make me sick, what a waste of life
It's very hard to see a lesson here, maybe for the cops, careless handling of the situation all round
This whole society is just prophecy ❤
Pro female bias here? It’s getting better, but cops are notorious simps.
How do you find the news stories and background info for the videos?
Donut Operator did an outstanding review of this incident when I happened a while back. Highly suggest watching his video on this as well
Please explain this Bo Jackson reference.

I think this is a great analyst. Kuddos to you and your team
If that cop was wrestling with a man, he pulls that trigger as soon as he sees that gun
